Duke Street during the ongoing 'Tindal Square and Market Road Public Realm Improvements' construction works taking place thru January-October 2022 in the City of Chelmsford in the County of Essex (UK).

Duke cupcakes for a big Blue Devil fans' Birthday! Vanilla cupcakes with blue vanilla buttercream icing swirls - half with hand cut gum paste "D" toppers, the other half with simple white sprinkles to carry out the blue/white theme! :)

Two members of the city of Durham Fire Department prepare to move an inflatable mannequin during Tuesday's emergency response training on Duke's West Campus.
About 60 members from the Duke University Police Department, Duke University Health System, Durham fire and EMS and the local Red Cross gathered in the Blue Zone parking lots near Wallace Wade Stadium to conduct the full-scale drill. Together, the crews responded to a fictitious accident involving exposure to organic phosphate chemicals that spilled from a pesticide truck.
EMS responders treated accident "victims," some of which were actors pretending to show symptoms like abdominal pain and vomiting. Crews also used three inflatable mannequins to simulate proper care for a victim exposed to chemicals. Fire department members worked to decontaminate victims by moving them on a stretcher through misting water. The mock patients were then transported to Duke University Hospital, Durham Regional Hospital and the Durham VA Medical Center as part of the four-hour exercise. The Durham City/County Local Emergency Planning Committee sponsored the exercise.

The Duke of Burgundy is a small, springtime butterfly that frequents scrubby grassland and sunny woodland clearings and is one of the most rapidly declining butterflies in the UK. It was once classified as a Fritillary, but is now the only butterfly in the UK in the subfamily Hamearis lucina, known as the "metalmarks".
