My 1936 Lister 'D' type stationary engine 125428 at the Andover Silver Jubilee Rally in June 1977 which, apart from celebrating the Queen's 25th year as Monarch was coincidentally the 25th steam rally held at Andover. As you can see it is raining and judging by the boys' parka and duffle coat would seem to suggest it was very cool for June as well.

In the 1970s I worked as a Residential Social Worker and as weekends were usually a busy time for me, the only chance I had of attending rallies was if some of the lads came with me. Three (sometimes four) of them became regulars enjoying the vintage scene with me on a weekend. Inevitably it rained, parkas and old jeans or shorts were the usual rally uniform for the boys, and wellington boots saved cleaning mucky shoes or trainers on our return home!

The boys pictured here were two of my regular rally assistants at that time and had travelled with me from London to attend this rally. They are sitting in a make-shift shelter constructed from a wind-break with a waterproof sheet over the top.

D1066 Western Prefect is at Solihull Station. The train is 1V38 the 12.25 Birmingham New Street to Paddington.

At the end of the platform a young lad is shouting up to the second-man who is leaning out to hear him, conversation is difficult when twin Maybach engines are running!

Blossomfield Road runs beneath the road bridge, the houses have all been demolished, on Blossomfield Road by apartments and on the hill by Touchwood shopping Mall. The lad with his trendy flares, parka and duffle bag will be in his mid to late 50's now, more than likely a grandfather.

D1066 Western Prefect was built at Crewe Works, it entered service new to Cardiff Canton 14/06/1963. The locomotive was withdrawn 12/11/1974 (three days on from this picture) and cut 21/05/1975.

All thought her real name is Dawn I call her Yuki (Hakari being her last name) cause of my Pearl & now Platnum Version. The only real differance between Yuki and Dawn from the anime is their scarf (Yuki's is longer than Dawn's and that Dawn has a backpack where as Yuki has a duffle bag), tho now thanks to platinum the two look very differant. Also the name is inspired by Yuki Nagato from "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" and Dawn's Japanese name Hikari thus the name Yuki Hakari is born whom I have also tied into my own Ace Combat Story-Timeline-thingy.

Currently, my story for her is that after nearly a year overseas with her father learning to fly as a fighter pilot, she finally returns to Sinnoh, only to find that the climate has changed and that she much re-new her pokemon license meaning that she much collect her badges again and regain the respect of her pokemon who have been leader-less for a year now no longer reconize their owner, can she regain their trust as she discovers what Sinnoh's new surprises, like the Distortion World?
