Lawton Dry Cleaners in Brattleboro, Vermont closed in 2013 when the 85-year-old owner, who started working at the shop in 1955 and bought it in 1978, decided it was time to do something else.
The graffiti on the walls and chimney in this 2022 photo have since been removed.

'Hordeum jubatum' in an empty lot between a drycleaners and a Karate academy. It's considered an evasive weed here. It can harm dogs apparently -- the seeds get into their skin and fester. I've never heard of this but the internet says it happens.

I love the satellite/star (Neo-lectra?) thing up there. I wonder how many hurricanes and tropical storms this sign's survived over the years?
Bridge City Cleaners has been closed for the past several years, following the death of owner Mrs. Segura, who started the business with her husband in 1955.
