Pénteken reggel elmentem az öltönyömért a helyi idÅ‘s vegytisztÃtóhoz, egyúttal elvittem a fényképezÅ‘gépem, hogy megörökÃtsem a 100 éves műhely és üzlet berendezéseit... Az öreg mester 70 évesen még teljes munkaidÅ‘ben viszi a nagyapja által 1907-ben indÃtott boltot, de nyilván már nem sokáig.
Egy régi elektromos centrifuga, amit 1928-ban Németországban gyártottak, és a belsÅ‘ dobja még rézbÅ‘l készült. A benzint is használó műhelyben fontos szabály, hogy a villamos motor egy másik helyiségben legyen a szikra-veszély miatt - a hajtást egy tengely és szÃjak hozzák át a géphez.
Friday morning I went to pick up my suit from the drycleaner and took my camera with me. I wanted to document the old equipment in this 100 year old shop in an old house in Hodmezovasarhely, Hungary - the shop was started by the grandfather of the current owner, who is also 70 years old and may not continue this business for long.
An old electric spin dryer in the workshop - made in Germany in 1928, when they still used copper for the drum. Since they use benzyne in the workshop, the electric engine has to be in the other room, and the torque passed onto the machine with the help of axles and belts.
These are some of my favorite signs in Cushing Oklahoma.I always get a little nervous stopping and getting out of my car just to take a picture of something in public. I just know someone is in there watching me and wondering why I'm doing it. Especially since they know me around here.

At City Service Cleaners, 767 Bush Street, you never have to tell them 'No starch in the collars" They know.The only thing they don't do here is take plastic.

Here's the decrepit sign , along with a view of the entire side wall of this closed cleaners. Oddly, some signage said "New Lenox" and some said "Hutchins", but both names seemed to be used interchangeably, but never in tandem. This dry cleaners was located in far-southwest suburban New Lenox, IL, but this business closed for good in September, 2014.
Just down the street from Sarno's on Vermont, I found Hollymort Cleaners.
