Milk drop splash captured with help from my DIY IR trigger / timer. Strobist: Two 580EX II strobes with colored gels @ 1/64 power each during 2 second exposure.
This is my home-made drop spindle, its 50g 12 inches long and made from bits I found around the house.
This papercraft is a Drop-arm Turnstile, created by Omron, and the scale is in 1:12.

Another quick blast with the WDK.Struggling to get mixture correct and height.
Here we have 3 flashes behind 5mm plexi frosted ,green gel fitted to one of the flashes blue colouring in the tray and red in the dropper.
A three drop collision ..but still not going to plan.... but fun trying lol :-)
The U Drop Inn Cafe at the restored Tower Conoco station along old Route 66 in Shamrock, Texas. More proof positive that they just don't have the heart to build things like they used to. What a cool old building!
A drop pendant of hammered gold and twists of silver is the centerpiece of this gorgeous necklace. Faceted Swarovski adds just enough sparkle to catch the light.
Water drop onto yellow dyed milk drop set on plexiglass.
Setup:
- Water drop making rig is set above plexiglass.
- a small puddle of milk is placed at drop impact location and dyed with yellow food coloring.
- A drop of water impacts the milk, making the splash effect.
- Two - SB-800 flashes are used, one set at 10 o'clock in front of splash, the second behind the splach and reflected off posterboard.
- Hiviz Schmitt photogate trigger with delay circuit used to trigger flashes.
- Picasa used for cropping and light levels.
