As the December launch of Norwich - Stansted Airport services using the new Stadler FLIRT units grows closer, Greater Anglia Class 755 bi-mode unit 755327 passes by Stansted Mountfitchet working 5Q34 13:47 Cambridge to Bishops Stortford C. Sdgs.
This having been the first 3-car unit I've witnessed on West Anglia so far 14/11/19

Working 0Z90 14:10 Ipswich-Norwich driver training run, 90045 displays the revised Freightliner green livery while scurrying past Trowse Victoria sidings, where 745008 and 745102 can be seen stabled. Whilst the first fifteen Class 90s were daily visitors to Norwich while working for Greater Anglia, the higher numbered locos have been less frequent visitors over the years, although they were hired by Anglia Railways for passenger services in the early 2000s.
Well, certainly something different here as this new MAN Enviro 300 hits the road in its training livery.
Seen here outside Piccadilly Gardens here is MAN Enviro 300 22521 showing it's new training livery after being converted to a trainer bus in Manchester. The bus spent most of it's time whilst in Greater Manchester in Wigan. .
Making a rare appearance east of Bristol Parkway, 37025 'Inverness TMD' exits Chipping Sodbury tunnel with 4B20 0837 Barry to Barry (via Briton Ferry & Swindon) Colas driver training.
With full cloud gauranteed this was a good oportunity to get a shot from the north side of the line of what was probably 37025's last working on this train.

Greater Anglia Class 755 BMU 755325 passes by Stansted Mountfitchet working 5Q82 14:15 Audley End to Bishops Stortford C. Sdgs 17/01/20
Unusual traction on a route learner - in preparation for the imminently starting RHTT season, GBRf operated route learning services using the path of 3S01, the Stowmarket-based service covering Cromer, Great Yarmouth and Ely, but running as 0S01 0921 Stowmarket D.G.L. to Stowmarket D.G.L., featuring the first visit of a Class 69 to a number of these routes. A very well presented 69012 rumbles over the River Yare on the approach to Wensum Junction after covering the Wherry Lines. The former 56077 wears a green livery derived from the Brush prototype D0280 Falcon, now showing the number 69012 and wearing a Falcon 2 nameplate in the style of the original loco.
April 1978 Chiswick. The hallowed portals of the London Transport works (CS), played host to a couple of RT-class AEC Regents by then assigned to driver trainer duties, but not all was quite as it seemed. During this period there was a shortage of suitable RT type for such duties, and the call went out to bolster the training fleet with similar buses that had been sold off. Thus several preserved RTs returned to perform such tasks and included as shown here on the right RT 1400 (KXW 499). With its roof boxed Saunders body it departed the works, by then in the hands of preservationist Ted Brakell. At the same time RT 4651 (NXP 904), a Park Royal bodied version entered the works, this though was still owned by LT and based at Walthamstow (WW) Garage.
As an aside note the little LT publicity van on the right, a Vauxhall HA type.
This once famous and revered location has since disappeared and become a modern business development.
166211 is allocated for crew training this week and is doing many runs between Exeter area and Goodrington Sands during the week. Here she is on the first day of training on the sea wall at Teignmouth.

It's always nice to get a wave from the driver! In fact he waved at me on his way back as well! 47 727 "Edinburgh Castle" continues the summer of classic traction on the Chiltern Lines while storming through Northolt Park. Owned by GBRf who have just got this winters RHTT contract from Freightliner it was on driver training runs from Marylebone to Leicester and back throughout the day.
