The driver of this JS 2-8-2 sits at his controls awaiting coal and water to be loaded at Nanzhan yards.
His face seems to me to tell the story of living and working in communist China as did his clothing.
Such a nice guy quiet and guarded, curious but disciplined.

Shelsley Walsh, Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom, on Saturday 3rd June 2023.
About the photograph.
I have no idea who he is, if he had been in or near his car, I would have checked the car’s racing number against the programme guide to look up his name and information about him.
Here, I saw him walking casually, no idea where he was going, maybe just going for a walk to stretch his legs, so I took the chance to get a few shots.
It was shot in colour, but I couldn’t make the colour shot look interesting enough, so I figure to use Adobe Lightroom to convert it into black and white.
This was taken near the entrance into the paddock area at the Shelsely Walsh speed hill climb event.
About Shelsley Walsh.
Shelsley Walsh is a motorsports speed hill climb track in Worcestershire, and organised by the Midland Automobile Club (MAC).
It is one of the oldest motorsports event, having started in 1905, and held events every year, except for the two World Wars.
It is also a notably steep course by today’s hill climb standards, rising 328ft / 100m over its 1000 yards / 914 metres length.
The track and course do not belong to MAC, it is leased from the local landowner. The original lease ran for 99 years, and in 2005, a new lease was signed for the next 99 years.

On the evening of Friday the 28th January, the usual 6J37 lumbers into Warrington hauled by 70815. Warrington in almost always the changing point for 6J37 - I believe the first driver would take the train all the way from Carlisle and then the second driver takes the train into Chirk and back out as far as Warrington very early the following morning (please correct me if I'm wrong there).
