East V West - Zeiss Ikon Contarex and Nikon F Photomic. The Contarex is beautifully engineered but exceptionally heavy and they were incredibly difficult to fix. The Nikon handled well and was very reliable so sold in big numbers. The rest is history! both were launched in the late 1950s and went on sale in the early 1960s but only around 32000 Contarexes were ever made

Pen-rhiw Unitarian Chapel was located in an area known as 'Y Smotyn Du', the black spot, by other Christian groups who disagreed with the beliefs of the Unitarians.
By 1851 there were 27 Unitarian chapels in Wales.
The chapel is believed to have been built as a barn and was acquired by the Unitarians in 1777. It is unadorned and simple in construction, and in some ways still resembles a barn rather than a place of worship.
In 1870 a gallery was added so more people could worship in the chapel.
Famous Unitarians include Louisa May Alcott, the author of 'Little Women', Edvard Grieg the Noregian composer and Tim Berners-Lee, creator of the World Wide Web.

Travellers often seemed to favour Bedford over Fords when buying a coach to convert, so ones like this Ford R192 with Duple Empress body were not a common sight. New to Greatrex of Stafford, and latterly with a dance troupe in Rugeley, it had been a caravan for nearly 10 years by this time, but possibly did not last beyond the end of 1992.
