Amtrak’s eastbound California Zephyr quietly crosses the large earthen fill leading down to Tunnel 16 at South Draw as the silvery passenger train catches some sunlight playing tag with clouds while dropping downgrade through the Tunnel District east of Crescent, Colorado, on the afternoon of April 24, 2019. No. 6 has nearly 30 track-miles to go before it reaches Denver Union Station out on the plains far below.
Just as I was about to flop down & enjoy a warm embrace with Nyxie—I heard the front door creaking open followed by the old worn floorboards in the house as footsteps draw near.
So come on Love, draw your swords,
Shoot me to the ground.
You are mine, I am yours,
Lets not fuck around.
Cause you are, the only one.
Cause you are, the only one.
Superstition Mountains
Lost Dutchman State Park
Apache Junction Arizona
The day this photo was taken rain looked imminent. But given the dark turbulent history of these mountains the stormy foreboding sky seemed fitting.

paper, pencil. 2006
To be honest, I rarely pick up a pencil.
In general, I rarely take something in my hands - my hands are usually busy ) This is my drawing of the Amur tiger for the children's edition of National Geographic in 2006 after my trip to the Far East. When I don't have a suitable photograph, drawings from a travel diary come into play.
As a child, I thought that a man should cook well, understand whiskey and wines, be able to fight and shoot decently, ride a horse, master fine art skills and be liked by women )
Oh, and dress impeccably for this ! ))
Much of this list turned out to be useful, but my lifestyle challenged the style of clothing ) but the ability to draw somehow took root
The interaction of light, shadow, and color really caught my attention. The patterns were quickly changing as the sun rose and the clouds moved in this scene taken one morning at the Camas National Wildlife refuge.
