Using color to highlight different emotions

After getting back from a long weekend drive up the coast, I discovered urbanspinner's tangles and wanted to do a tile using only these. I love the way Lichen has emerged, but Banners was a failure (I know what went wrong so next time I can get it right). Dervish was a healthy challenge, and Versailles is so pretty.

loved the overlaping circles. I had to run out and do my own straight away!

A lost treasure...found.

Drawings by my Granny.

Some friends and I had a play day where we challenged ourselves to draw freely.

I used a combination of tracing paper and gesso coated calico and came up with some very interesting images

These faces were drawn on to tracing paper using pen and ink.

The images were then left to dry and further ink and paint was added to the reverse

I then cut out the tracing paper images and attached them to a fragment of an old book page
