The fog was too thick to get the actual sunrise, but as the sun cleared the cloud bank on the horizon this happened. There was some great light that morning.
Amid swaying reeds and soft bamboo, the Chinese teahouse of Luisenpark rises like a haven of calm in the heart of the city. Its gracefully curved rooftops reflect on the tranquil water, framed by red lanterns that evoke the essence of Chinese tradition. Overhead, the sky is painted with dynamic clouds, adding a contemplative depth to the scene. It’s a place for tea, yes—but more than that, it’s a sanctuary for silence, reflection, and serenity.
As another Sunday comes to a close, I am dreaming of a sunday six months ago, spent in the lap of nature and the simply spectacular Alps.
Piume nel cielo,
sopra terre vulcaniche,

Clouds gather where the buildings fall silent.
Four figures hold the edge between shadow and sky.
The city rises only in outline.
From all the red rock formations, arches, juniper trees, dramatic sky and just pure beauty, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Arches National Park
Some great Midge Weather looking down the Loch Oich part of the Caledonian Canal.
Well worth the after-tea run when the camper vans are all pitched up for the night....
Although the sunrise at Wareham this morning was a no show the time leading into the sunrise was dramatic. This image capture around 20 minutes or so beforehand where the sky in the direction of the sentinel trees was dramatic in colour helped by the morning mist.
Although I did bracketed images because of the contrast in foreground and background this one is a single image processed from an image captured one stop over and processed from there.
No filters were used even though light in the distance and foreground was quite different in exposure, using exposure compensation and iso to try and balance out all of my bracketed images.
Lightroom is where most of the processing was done with PS to clone out unwanted sensor dust and luminosity adjustments.

No sunrise this morning. Well, none that I could see through the overcast sky. But some time later the clouds started breaking up.
A vast and expressive sky filled with layers of textured clouds stretches above the quiet mountain landscape. Soft blue tones, drifting clouds, and warm light create a peaceful yet dramatic atmosphere, while the distant mountains and golden fields add depth to the scene
Color version does have a lot more detail specially the subtle shades of blue up in the sky. Shooting dunes after rain and enjoying the untouched sand is such a great pleasure...

Silbury Hill
Thrilling sunset over Silbury Hill yesterday. Silbury Hill, built around 2400BC, is the tallest prehistoric man-made mound in Europe.
The sun rises above the horizon, illuminating everything with rich, warm hues as the sun's rays fan out over the clouds.

I have tried other close-up wide shots of this lighthouse and was not happy with them. For this, I shot three horizontal 15mm (FF) views starting at ground level and finishing with the top part of the lighthouse and the sky. It seems to work like what I was looking for. :)
This atmospheric image captures the Mannheim Water Tower at night, impressively illuminated against a dramatic, cloud-filled sky. The lighting of the tower radiates a warm, inviting brightness that contrasts sharply with the deep blue of the night sky. The clouds seem to hover above the tower, giving the scene a mystical and almost majestic aura. The lights and their reflections in the water basin in the foreground add an extra layer of visual fascination.
