somewhere between Nieuwpoort and Oostduinkerke

making my way along the slippery rocks following the setting ball of fire. The temperature is quite tolerable tonight, a welcome end to the week this was taken.

From the depths of the sky, the golden eagle rises like an ancient omen. Its wings cut through the air with the force of a destiny carved into the mountains, while the dawn light ignites its feathers like a divine armor. Sovereign of the winds, it crosses the world with the calm of one who fears nothing, carrying in its silence the promise of a boundless realm.

We found the gate, so I'm not quite sure when I'll be able to come back to earth 😅😁

over Franconia (Bavaria)

Had a wonderful time clicking away out of the airplane window as sunset drew near. Couldn't believe the view and the nice variety of types of clouds. I recognized some fairly rare mammatus clouds to the right and the formation on the left reminded me of a UFO. Especially wonderful for me as I so love "sky shots". Here's another from a few minutes later, right as the sun set: flic.kr/p/2qzvcWd

Unexpected storm that hit Lucca this evening...sadly only place I could go to shoot it was my parking lot :D

Shot with Samyang 14mm @f4, shot composed by 6 shots, 2 for the foreground and 4 for the sky.

Clouds are fascinating in so many ways--the processes that create them, the forms they take and how they function in the larger Earth system. But sometimes they are just cool to look at. I imagine this one capable of opening up like a giant clam and gobbling up a community.

For scale, the rising steam below the cloud in the lower center is from an ethanol plant a few miles from where I was standing.

Standing on the pier in Eastbourne looking back over the town. The sky was dramatic, with storm clouds gathering and the sun going down, sending crepuscular rays down through the gap in the clouds.

Γαναδιό Ganadio

on my Blog ΛΟΓΕΙΚΩΝ Logicon

Not just a traditional settlement but as an architectural monument is mentioned the depicted Ganadio, one stone villages of Konitsa's Municipality at 870 meters altitude on the slopes of Smolikas.

The photo shows a district of the village at an angle of view of about 270 °

Sunset on the Great Sand Dunes

Still walking as mostly

alone just us & only people and cars in the distance.

Great beach for dogs to be free and enjoy the sea and sand and digging!!!

Morfa Bychan, known locally as Black Rock Sands, is a sandy beach, with rocky areas- although the rocks aren’t actually black. The beach stretches for about 2 miles and is backed by a dune system which has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. There are plenty of rockpools to explore here as well as some interesting caverns.

A river mouth lies at the south-eastern end of the beach, and the village of Morfa Bychan is a few hundred meters away. The beach has lovely views of the mountains and countryside of Snowdonia National Park.

A slipway provides vehicular access to the sands and most visitors park on the beach, making it a popular picnic destination and providing easy access for those with mobility problems. There are designated bathing and boat launching areas. Dogs are banned from the central section of the beach, but are allowed on the eastern and western sections.

There are a number of holiday parks in the area surrounding the beach. In the village of Morfa Bychan there are shops, places to eat and a golf club. There are more facilities in the town of Porthmadog, about 2 miles from the beach.

The magnificent, stone (of course) mansion, an excellent example of genuine Epirus architecture, is the “headquarters” of the agrotourism complex of Christoforou (Fori everyone calls him) and Marianna Kostaras in the traditional settlement of Dolo in Pogoni.

The upper floor can accommodate visitors among whom we will meet the former president of the Republic, the late Karolos Papoulias, who came from neighboring Pogoniani, the former prime minister Mr. Kostas Karamanlis and other important personalities.

In the basement there are the workshops for the production of traditional dairy products, tsipouro and wines. All of top quality and purity.

The products of the complex do not stop there but cover the entire spectrum of agricultural and livestock production.

Furthermore, the "estate", as everyone in the area calls it, is the main factor holding back the small number of permanent residents of the village. My Board “Dolo” on gettyimages

Every lightning strike is unique, lasting only a fraction of a second before disappearing forever. Capturing this moment is a reminder that some of nature's greatest masterpieces exist for only an instant.

"The sky doesn't just produce lightning—it paints stories with light."

Church on Sunday!! :))

More šumi pod njima, stijene stoje kao nijemi svjedoci, a valovi – razbijaju tišinu.

When the sky seems to move toward the horizon, as if flying, clouds grow wings.

The sea whispers below, rocks stand as silent witnesses, and waves — break the silence.

One of those moments when nature breathes deeply.
