This is the moment a lorry driver was dramtically rescued by fire fighters. After the driver was left trapped in the cab of the tractor unit he was driving which was precariously dangling 20 foot over the quayside on Hartlepool Docks above the chilly North Sea. The driver was stuck in his cab for an hour before fire fighters helped him out of his cab with the use of an aerial platform. 1st October 2013.
An interesting sky this morning. Of course some post processing to bring out more of the relative "goodness".
Note the little spec in the cloud, just above the right hand palm tree. No, it's not dust or a dirt spot that I forgot to remove. Click on the image, and you may be able to tell that it's a 'plane, and a very well-defined one too. Well, maybe less so on this reduced-size upload, but clearly identifiable, with very clean lines, on my screen at the full image resolution - which is cropped a bit, by the way.
The impending sunset dramatically lights up the peaks in Great Basin National Park as the clouds of a nearby thunderstorm continue to glower over the landscape.

this is me and my little brother we had a wonderful time doing this shoot, lots of bubbles and fun. he is so funny how much he inputs about the way we should look and how the photos should be edited. i love him and all his nerdness (he gets it from me)

Dramatic lighting with dark and stormy skies over Freshwater Bay as one of the first half-decent autumn swells makes an appearance on the Isle of Wight.
A small group of local surfers make the most of what's on offer. If you look carefully you might even spot a former British Surf Champion back in the lineup where he grew up.

Taken from several shots off a rooftop in Southern Portugal after a long day of rain.
In the middle of the photo where the stadium light poles are, you can still see hard rain falling down on the mountain (Serra de Monchique).

After a restful weekend, the team was re-energized and looking forward to a full day of patients today. Our first case was a baby, 7 months old, with a significant cleft palate and lip running all the way to his nostril. This little baby was adorable - a love bug. As we talked to him and his mom, he kept laughing and smiling. What a sweetie! His gum line was protruding out of his mouth, almost like a little snout, and if he'd had his teeth in they would have been sticking straight out. As a mother, it must be terribly hard to have such an adorable baby whose face may repel others. We could tell he was such a sweet and loving child.
