At this point, the radar indicated that the severe weather was north of my location by 20 miles or so. My hunch was that it was coming my way. The whirling clouds seemed a clear, albeit ominous, signal that things could get dicey in my area.

Keiko is my third Momoko,but after five years i still think she's one of the most beautiful Momoko ever. The color combination on her face (cheeks,lips and dark brown eyes) is perfect,and her hair are soft and shiny *_*

The weather had been fierce the whole day, the wind winding and hounding around the house, pulling at everything, with rain lashing against the windows.
Here the sun sets at 4.15 now, so dark very early, it seemed like we'd never had a day, when I noticed a bit of golden sheen, I looked and this greeted me. An Indigo sky with a strip of pale light.
I grabbed my camera, opened the window and took the image.
We live on the side of a hill, it glides down into the Dale and climbs back up.

Pathfinder's "Chester Christmas Explorer" with the taps wide open, passing Warrington Bank Quay. The clouds were really quite dramatic overhead and the sun was just peaking out behind the large industrial buildings to the right of the shot. Made for some interesting lighting.
So, another boring family photo album of my fun. Dramatic tone applied with adjustments for this photo as follows:
It's a triple linear gradients with a radial for good measure on the subject. Technique found in tons of websites. One anchor bottom, always linear across bottom 1//8 or less frame, another bottom linear across the lower 1/2 frame and tapered along some complement feature or the tone in the lower half of the photo. A linear gradient from the sky down to your subject. I use this one, tilted one way or the other sometimes to put emphasis light direction. And lastly a radial gradient around the subject.
