The morning was gloomy with occasional sun shining down on the ocean. An unintentional -2/3 exposure adjustment made the scene more dramatic!

This is a picture I took outside my door last December. Winter sunsets are so dramatic. Or maybe its just that I am awake when the sunsets in the winter :-0
After an excellent day's weather the forecast was for a quick change for the worse early evening so, in anticipation, I went looking for clouds. The abundant and colourful wild-flowers and varied grasses at Castle Loch, Lochmaben enriched the foreground.
I like to process my B&W this way. There's not a whole lot of gray..... just dramatic black and white contrasty... The blown-out whites are intentional :O) And hey, I just noticed something... the catch lights! I think this is my first photo where you can actually see them.... ME in them! LOL... Yup, that's me in the doorway.
As always, I think you will enjoy how it looks on black.

Aug 2020 started off in my little corner of Southeastern Ohio with some dramatic stormy skies, followed by an equally dramatic and beautiful sunset. As we roll into Fall I will miss the dramatic skies of Summer. The photos in this series are in no particular order.
