He's sleeping after having eaten earlier. He's a Black throated monitor lizard (Varanus albitularis microstictus). Black throat monitors are native to sub-Sahara Africa. I hesitated to post this because of of the poor quality due to being taken throgh plexiglas but I have very few profile photos of "Dozer." Photo by Frank
