You might see in other photos I've posted over the years, I've long been dissatisfied with the pictures I took at Kenai Fjords National Park. I was still new to photography back then and hadn't developed (HA!) any style, I didn't know a lot of the basic stuff I know now, and I had a camera that was fairly primitive compared to the cameras I have now. Even so, every once in a while I go back through those photos, hoping something will suddenly materialize that I didn't see before.

 

Well, it happened. I don't know why I didn't post this one years ago. It's the closest to almost tolerable as any I took there. This is a very short distance up the Harding Icefield Trail, looking back down the length of Exit Glacier to the outwash plain.

Another view of the flower bush in the wash, this time looking downstream. I would love to see this stream during the late-summer monsoons, when this likely turns into a raging torrent.
