I love how the soft early morning light from the window falls on my son, who was doodling, I like how it created the shades and shadows. God is good.

mindless doodling becomes a little less mindless when you have a little buddy chasing your pen :)

The last two days at work, I had a class. I find a listen better and keep at peace when I get to doodling over the duration. It takes a long time to get 8.5" x 11" finished and I'm less than a quarter done with it, so I am posting another that I did sometime before. I used a metallic ink that I really am not so fond of, so after scanning, I amped the vibrance to make the colors more to my liking. Happy Inktober.

Just a little doodle I did on a draft of my undergraduate dissertation. I love the balrog sequence from Lord of the Rings, such an epic scene.

when a blank page is intimidating, you can't beat a doodle!

I often say, and believe, that a lot of rock art - dare I say most - has no significant spiritual meaning. They are nothing more than doodles on rock. Yes, they represent things, such as sheep, snakes, people, etc, but that's it. Some petroglyphs / pictographs may be trying to tell a story, true, but a lot aren't. I've had people tell me that some of the glyphs that I have posted photos of represent water, maps, a shaman's vision, a fertility site, etc., and they may, but no one knows for sure.

Drew on this batch of pebbles last night. I soooooo wish I live near the beach so I can have unlimited supply of beach pebbles.

It is a new day and Ysa and I are going about life as (mostly) normal. My grandmother has been in the hospital for the last couple of days for those who didn't know.

I did a bit of therapeutic doodling when she woke me this morning. She had made a "Blues Clues" checklist for our day but we don't have snow to play with and my brain is too fried to play the Clue game so I made one of my own...ok, it was a nice THEORY. It is almost 3pm and we've already diverged from the schedule. LOL

Otherwise...

Shoreditch, London February 2016

I came across these doodles by my father while I was archiving family photos and history. They were done in his senior year in 1928-29, or during his first year at the University of Alabama. The graduation photo is from 1929.

catching up on letter writing, a few postcards, and even a little doodling.

My flower doodles were recently made into vinyl decals to decorate the walls and glass doors of a children's therapy area. I received a set of decals last week and put some of them in the studio window.
