Not something I usually post, but I am determined to complete Flickr's 21-day challenge. Unfortunately, I didn't have any photos to fit today's theme, 'donuts.
Two years ago, we bought a vegan donut from a coffee shop in Madison and we both agreed that it was the best donut we’ve ever had.
It was very exciting to learn that the makers of those donuts, Level 5 Donuts, just opened up a storefront at the beginning of May. It’s the 30th vegan establishment we’ve visited, which we hope to visit again.
The donuts we purchased were mixed berry cheesecake, chocolate brownie, churro, and a glazed old fashioned cake. They were all fantastic but I’d definitely go with the cake donut as my favorite (I’ll take cake over a yeast donut any day). So delicious!
I discovered this shot in my archives and decided to re-edit it for the #Flickr21Challenge #donuts so I don't have to go out and buy any. Note that it was taken exactly 6 years ago today!

The line to the new donut shop went out the door as Sugar welcomed her first customers. Her proud father was happy to teach her the family business.
The cold weekend in Wisconsin brought many people indoors to sample her donuts, pastries, cupcakes, and crullers (the family specialty.)
Very 'Rockford Files'... that's how everyone drives here.

We went next door for tacos at Rancho Bravo and had a glazed donut for dessert. it was tender and not too sweet, not bad at all in a hurry but If I must have a donut then it has to be Mighty O's.

Mmm. Donuts. And you know me, I bought this donut just to take a picture of it. I ate half and gave the rest away... too sprinkle-y. But pretty!!
And look. Sprinkle Bokeh. And now that word sprinkle sounds funny... Who came up with that anyway?
