We are pressed on every side by troubles.
but we are not crushed
We are perplexed, but not driven to despair
We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God.
We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. 2nd Corinthians 4:8-9
So let's not get tired of doing good.
At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. Galatians 6:9
Wishing you all a very Blessed Sunday tomorrow.

What to Do in Chiang Mai: 5 Insider’s Tips by Local Experts

I feel like giving up. Yesterday was not a great day (well, OK.... it sucked). Today started out alright but started heading south.... and this SHOULD be my vacation week in Maine... as you can see... I am NOT in Maine... and I am NOT happy... about a number of things.
I went out and ran this morning and I was tired and my feet and legs were tired and around 2 this afternoon I started thinking that I would go run a 5K. There aren't many that I can run because I work every weekend (every freakin' weekend) ...and it was a Flag Day run for homeless veterans and their families... so I figured that I should go....and maybe be happy for a bit, even though I knew I was really too tired to run it well... and I would have to go alone because I have only 2 friends that run and how do you ask someone to go run with you and then say.... be ready to go in 2 hours.... Ok, well I did ask one of them, but she had to work... I didn't ask the other... because they don't know me all that well... and they don't know that I do things like this with no prior thought or planning ( they don't know I'm crazy... although, they may have an inkling... but it isn't confirmed... yet. And they are way too fast anyway!) So, I went alone... which is probably just as well. And I rocked the first mile.... got a cramp before I hit two miles and had to walk for a bit... which was not unexpected because I ran this morning too, and ...really... I'm not a runner.. and never really will be. But... my time wasn't horrible.... and I finished strong, sprinting (Ok... MY version of a sprint... but it was my fastest...lol!) through the finish line. And there was Italian Ice... and I wore my awesome red, white and blue sneakers...and I love them... and I ran behind awesome people that were running while carrying full size American flags. It was good.... 34:08 minutes of good... the time is unofficial. ; )
I didn't give up. But I am buying lottery tickets this weekend... because there are a number of things that I would like to give up...

I really don't know which of the three is my favorite, and I'm still not sure if I made the right choice with choosing the above as my 365. Lately I just don't know.
Ugh, this is so melancholy. I guess that reflects how I've been feeling lately. All I'm really wanting is spring. I hate winter. I hate being cold. I hate the mushy snow that's taking forever to melt. Sorry for ranting; that will probably be deleted later and replaced with something a little happier, because I can't stand whiny people, myself included. ;)
I was tagged by Alexa to fill these out. Hey and I know I say this allll the time, because my contacts really are wonderful, but you should GO NOW and check Alexa's stream out, because I love her. <3

During my holiday in Denmark I wasn't sure I would continue with my 365.
It felt like I didn't have the energy to come up with a new photo idea every day.
Thanks to the support of friends and people that follow my project I didn't give up and just posted a photo the next day!
Now it's like I'm in a creative flow again and it feels so much fun to create pictures every day!
(Even though I have days I don't know what to shoot!)
So here it is... my message to everybody:

"Light Source"
When you are in the darkest hour of your life and nothing is seen, don't give up, open your heart, remember it is in the dark where the light shine brighter.

This sculpture had really profound impact on me , I think the everyone could find a deep meaning there ...

Theme: No Theme
You're the light, you're the night
You're the color of my blood
You're the cure, you're the pain
You're the only thing I wanna touch
Never knew that it could mean so much, so much
You're the fear, I don't care
Cause I've never been so high
Follow me to the dark
Let me take you past our satellites
You can see the world you brought to life, to life
So love me like you do, love me like you do
Love me like you do, love me like you do
Touch me like you do, touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

“Anyone can give up,
it’s the easiest thing
in the world to do.
But to hold it together
when everyone else
would understand
if you fell apart,
that’s true strength.”

grazie.

This is a image that popped in my head after hearing someone talk
about a book named 'the unlikely pilgrimage of harold fry'.
It's a story about the recently-retired Harold Fry, who sets out one morning
to post a letter to a dying friend.
In a moment of impulse, Fry finds himself at the start of a journey
which will lead him to walk hundreds of miles from home.
This idea really fascinated me!
And so that's where this photo is all about... what if you just start walking!
I guess I need to go out and buy the book and see what adventure lays ahead
when you don't stop walking when you reach the mailbox!

Tagelanger Regen scheint dieser wunderschönen Clematis gut zu bekommen. Diese großblumige Art benötigt besonders in der Blütezeit eine ausreichende Bewässerung.

Flickr Friday...Don't Give Up
One thing birds are is relentless. They build their nest and if it gets destroyed they'll build another...they rarely ever give up, thank goodness! This one built her rather sloppy nest in a huge yucca in my front yard. Doves are known for either taking an old nest as their own or building a rather sloppy one. Hopefully this nest will be safe from its predictors.
