I took this photo about 12 years ago of our dogs. Sadly passed on now but they were great company and we have many happy memories of them at training clubs and going to obedience shows.

The Rottweiler thought she was a German Shepard, she couldn't understand why she wasn't allowed in the German Shepherd training club we belonged to.

Yashka met a dog of the same age as he is (18 months) in the park. And they had a lot of fun playing together.

Photos, each with three subjects, is my theme for today. Here, three dogs engaged in some rough and tumble in an of leash park.

PLEASE NOTE: These are not angry or aggressive dogs, they are playing quite happily and no bother to anybody.

Monte Paterno and the Tre Cime in the Dolomites. I walked this via ferrata for a. short distance and went through a few tunnels and saw all the gun positions and remains of the battles that were fought in these fantastic mountains. Dogs of War is by Laibach.

During our trip to Africa in October, 2013 on the top of my wish list was to see Wild Dogs and our guide did not disappoint. This was our first game drive after arriving in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in Northern Botswana and, even though every sighting was special, I think seeing these Wild Dogs was the highlight. They have an amazing family structure and this pack had 9 adults and 9 puppies. They hunt as a team and usually one adult stayed back with the pups as there were lions and hyenas in the area. When the lead dog got tired, he would drop back and another would take the lead. Unlike lions, which let their cubs feed last, if there is anything left, they let their pups eat first. When the puppies got hungry and demanded food during the day, any adult would regurgitate to feed them. And they didn't stop begging until they got more food. It is very important that the pups grow up to be strong as that increases the size of the pack and, therefore, their success at hunting. Wild Dogs are the most successful hunters with a success rate of nearly 80% and this pack was exceptionally good at hunting.

Believe it or not this is Ireland too :-)

Pepe was my second rescue dog. He was a Bichon Friese mix who was found on a city street , filthy, flea-ridden and with no identification. He really cleaned up well and was a fun-loving, and loving pup. We will miss him forever.

Early one morning - HCS!

Today in Saint -Adele on the lake

I had this song in my mind

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ey5wvml4erU

And its lyric has those words

With the birds I’ll share

This lonely view

And then I had this shot that I love….the birds were not there but ….

I caught some birds before in a beach walk so here is the result! A …mix!

Maybe Lassie does not look so lonely like the song sings but I think this could be a good match! Couldn’t it?

We are going to the beach this afternoon and I will show you the happening in the next episodes!!!

Happy middle of the week my dear friends!

Janice and I will be moving again in June. So, our son visited this weekend, to take care of some of his possessions, in our custody since he lived with us. He brought his two dogs, rescued from Puerto Rico after the hurricane there. Sadie and Lulu are mother and daughter.

It was a nice weekend, and they are now back in Brooklyn, where they live.
