I don't do resolutions but as part of the personal development side of karate we are encouraged to write down our goals. Here are mine for 2011. I need to make time for all these things, which are all things for me, but i'm going to be quite busy!

We don´t need to know all the details in the Gaza-Palestine-Israel-conflict to know that what is happening there now is WRONG WRONG WRONG. People have tried before us, and some of us have tried before - still - don´t let apathy rule, don´t let war and violence and evilness win. Give peace a chance, do something!!!!!

One of my favorite quotes from Soupy. A lot of people find pop punk to be a silly genre of music, and they find no point in getting so interested in it. But I turned to The Wonder Years and tons of other pop punk bands when my life was really fucked up and low. It's this time of music that kept me alive for so long, because this music means something. It means something to the musicians and the fans that adore it. This quote pretty much sums up every reason why I love pop punk so fucking much.

When we were clearing out my late brother's unit, I found his old autograph book from 1962 when he would have been 12 years old. I wrote a poem when I was 14 years old -
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I was born beautiful,
What happened to you"
My father wrote -

Carrots are nice,
