Chestnut-capped Blackbird
O garibaldi é uma ave passeriforme da família Icteridae. Também conhecido por dó-ré-mi, pássaro-do-arroz, chupim do nabo, chapéu de couro(SP) e acorda-nego em (PE) .
Tamanho: 17,5 cm de comprimento.
Cores: O macho apresenta plumagem negra, tendo a coroa, a garganta e o peito em vermelho fosco (pardo). Dependendo da iluminação e a distância em que o pássaro se encontrar, as partes vermelhas não são visíveis e a ave parece totalmente negra, chegando a ser confundida com o tiê-preto, com a graúna e com o vira-bosta. A fêmea apresenta plumagem pardo-olivácea, com barriga e lado superior estriados de negro e pardacento-claro; sendo difícil de ser identificada, salvo, quando está próxima ao macho.
Canto: Seu canto é agradável e melodioso. É um dos sons mais típicos dos brejos e banhados brasileiros; consiste em assobios que lembram o da graúna, seguidos de um trinado muito intenso, característico da espécie.
Seu ninho, em forma de tigela, é geralmente construído entre as folhas de taboas. Os ovos, cerca de três, são levemente azulados com pequenas manchas escuras.
Ocorre nos estados do Amapá, Amazonas, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Tocantis, Distrito Federal e todos os estados do Nordeste.

In the projection booth after the movie. Digital projection of 'Star Wars Episode VII', the last movie to be shown at the Ziegfeld. The single NEC projector at the right in the photo projects the movie onto the screen. The box labeled 'Doremi' is the source for the movie. The unit above the doremi box is the Dolby audio processor. The rack at left contains audio amplifiers for the theater's speakers. The program sequence is automatically controlled by the Doremi server, the display for which is on the cart.
Pretty sure this is the earliest pic of my Ojamajo Doremi collection that I have, although I forgot to include a pic of my MIB Hazuki Dokkaan figure.. X_X; Anyway yeah, this is pretty old, but I wanted to upload all of the collection photos, for comparison reasons :) I can't be the only one who likes seeing how collections grow, right? :3

Magical DoReMi candy premium washcloths of quite nice quality 18cm x 18cm (about 6" x 6"). There are five (5) in this series though the fifth box is not shown here (but can be seen both in box and out of the box in the previous pictures). These come with nice clear plastic reusuable pouches/wallets that have pink accents and could be used for other collectibles such as trading cards, coins, jewelry, stickers, etc (also shown in the previous photos). As is often the case with the Japanese snacks promoting TV shows, the candy is mostly incidental. These are a Bandai Candy toy from 2000. There was another series of washclothes that came out in 2002. These are a series previous to that one.
The box at the top left is a 1999 Bandai candy premium miniature version of the DoReMi musical wand.

A fun Magical DoReMi Japanese coloring book. As is usual with Japanese books the front is on the left with the back on the right (which is opposite of Western styles)
And DoReMi chopsticks too in two different styles and two different colors schemes. While quite handy for eating, these also would make lovely hair accessories.

Here are some fun Magical DoReMi Japanese collectibles. The most prominent is possibly the candy premium washcloth. There are five (5) in this 2000 Bandai series (which can be seen on the back of the box on the right side of the washcloth - as well as in the next picture). As is often the case with the Japanese snacks promoting TV shows, the candy is mostly incidential (though I thought quite yummy, almost a ramune flavor and I often wished I could get a big package just of the little premium pellets sans the premiums). Also usual for these premiums the washcloth is of nice quality and comes with an adorable plastic clear pouch/wallet with pink accents which could be used for other things including coins, jewels, paper clips, etc.
Also in the picture are several different pairs of DoReMi chopsticks (which while quite handy for eating, these also would make lovely hair accessories) and an adorable 1999 Bandai Magical DoReMi Candy Doll premium that comes with the character shown on the front in the lower left corner of the box.

DOMITILLA URBANI detta "DOREMI" ed "IVANA"
Flavia Domitilla Urbani in Dossi è nata il 10 settembre 1930 a Canove di Roana da Maria Luisa Vignato (sorella di mio nonno Filippo) ed Alessandro Urbani (medico condotto di Canove).
Era la quinta di dieci fratelli, ultima arrivata tra le fila partigiane, dove già quattro fratelli più grandi militavano nella formazione della Sette Comuni. Nel 1944 a causa delle incursioni nazifasciste la famiglia è costretta a trasferirsi temporaneamente a Madonna di Lonigo presso parenti. Nell'inverno 1944/45 quando Domitilla aveva 14 anni diventa staffetta partigiana al servizio del comandante “Carlo”, Alberto Sartori Baston della brigata garibaldina “Martiri di Grancona” della divisione partigiana "Ateo Garemi". Come tutte le staffette girava in bicicletta portando messaggi nascosti sotto il sellino, oltre che in zona Lonigo, "Doremì" si spinge spesso sino ai Berici, nell'alto Vicentino, a Schio, Thiene, Breganze.
Tra il dicembre del 1944 ed il gennaio del 1945 portò in bicicletta da Thiene sino in Cà Vecchia (una strada tutta in salita) il ciclostile per stampare il giornale clandestino "Fratelli d'Italia" della brigata Mameli, curato da sua sorella “Juna”.
Domitilla dopo la Liberazione sarà maestra a Dueville, è morta il 15 marzo 2013 a Dueville (Vicenza).

DOMITILLA URBANI called "DOREMI" and "IVANA"
Flavia Domitilla Urbani in Dossi was born on September 10, 1930 in Canove of Roana by Maria Luisa Vignato (sister of my grandfather Filippo) and Alessandro Urbani (Canove's doctor).
She was the fifth of ten brothers, the last in the partisan row, where four bigger brothers were militarizing in the formation of the Seven Communes. In 1944, due to the Nazi-fascist incursions, the family was forced to temporarily move to Madonna di Lonigo with relatives. In the winter of 1944/45 when Domitilla was 14 years old, he became a partisan relay at the service of Commander Carlo, Alberto Sartori Baston of the Garibaldi Brigade "Martini di Grancona" of Garemi. As all partisan relays was cycling with hidden messages underneath the saddle, as well as in the Lonigo area, "Doremì" often goes to Berici, Vicentino, Schio, Thiene, Breganze. In december 1944 - january 1945 she took a cyclostyle by bike from Thiene to Ca' Vecchia, an uphill road. With this cyclostyle was printed the clandestine newspaper "Fratelli d'Italia" (Brothers of Italy) of the Mameli Brigate, curated by her sister "Juna".
Domitilla after the Liberation will be a teacher in Dueville, she died on March 15, 2013 in Dueville (Vicenza).

I actually got another doll since taking this pic (Motto Patissiere Hazuki), plus another on the way (Motto Witch Apprentice Momoko - I finally found one!! :DDDD).. and something else Doremi-related that I can't open until Christmas :P But I figured I'd upload these pics and then take another 'collection' pic later.
I put the standing Hana-chan gashapon next to the Carnival gashapon (or Dokkaan? Motto? I'm not really sure what series they are :x) since I don't plan on getting the rest of the gashapon from that series (Motto Witch Apprentice gashapon; I don't like their poses ^^;) and I thought she looked cute next to them ^_^.
Lol, I just noticed you can see Sweetie Belle in this pic, too.. she gets everywhere ;)

I have recently helped an overseas friend to get a Mia and Me doll which she really wanted to own, but the line isn't available in the US. When I picked Mia up in the store her size surprised me - I was expecting her to be bigger!
Before I sent her away I quickly took a picture of her with the pink-haired dolls I share my home with, and, as the pic might be useful for size comparison, I thought I'd share it. I'm sorry for the bad quality and settings (or the lack of it), I wanted to set Mia on her way as soon as possible, so I really had no time or chance to wait for an opportunity of taking a photo in better lights.
The picture is not only interesting because of the size comparison factor, but because it also made me realise how dang many pink-haired dolls I have O_O
