A team of scientists from the University of Georgia are currently conducting one year of baseline monitoring through blood and tissue samples tested to measure cadmium levels in bird species found at Dredged Material Containment Areas 14A and 14B. These tests, conducted before placement of dredged material with associated concentrations of cadmium, will help biologists determine if the dredged material in question is having an impact on birds once the Savannah Harbor deepening begins. Curio's Gala Phoenix is currently in the midst of legal issues which have resulted in her content being removed from the grid, pending the outcome of her legal battle. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) process in Second Life requires that when there is legal action taken against your content, Linden Lab will remove it from the grid until a ruling is made. Gala's fellow content creators have come together to host a fundraiser to help with the enormous amount of legal fees she will have to bear in order to fight these baseless claims.

 

The fundraiser will be held from July 9-15, with a blogger preview on July 8th.

 

Some participants include Flowey, BareRose, Black Lace, Belleza, Ingenue, Laq, Luck Inc, One Bad Pixel, Gos, Truth, Zibska, Bent, Fawn, Cupcake, evolve, Glam Affair, ely, Lassitude & Ennui, Zanzibar, Adorkable, Ikon, League and many more.

 

This fundraiser is not only to help Gala Phoenix, but to also take a stand for the community of content creators, for many of whom SL is their main source of income. This could happen to any one of us, and it's necessary that we stand up and fight back to ensure that it doesn't.

So This Is The Update Many Have Been Waiting For...

 

 

First, I want to re-cap the events of the last few weeks so that everyone is on the same page regarding the DMCA that was filed against ~*Fresh Baked Goods*~.

 

On August 19/2008, we received an email from the "Removals Department" at Linden Research, informing us that Linden Lab had received DMCA notification from a copyright owner, or its authorized agent, that we had allegedly infringed on one or more copyrighted works in the Second Life environment. The notification identified the following allegedly infringing work(s): ~*FBG*~ Bright Jelly Tots Necklace Sets, ~*FBG*~ Muted Jelly Tots Necklace Sets, ~*FBG*~ Greyscale Jelly Tots Necklace Sets.

 

Unable to verify the sender of this email, we contacted LL via a friend & concierge level member who asked if this was a department at LL, to which they answered in the affirmative. We were given just 2 days to respond to this DMCA Notification, by submitted a sworn Counter-Notification to LL via Fax, including our real contact information stating that under no circumstances did we infringe on any other individuals work, and that the claim was unfounded. While Dessert Furst, my co-owner was headed to the post-office to Fax the notice, we both received the most blatantly ridiculous communications from Linden Labs, stating that they needed to view our logs for "Account Testing", suggesting that we had seen something or reported a bug in the SL Environment, for which they had to momentarily disable access to our accounts. Within minutes we received notification that the "Account Testing" was completed. I knew that there were three IMs (sent to me as off lines) and one inventory offer that should have been awaiting me on login, the IMs were gone, and the inventory offer had been accepted by someone. Nothing was missing from our inventory at this time to my knowledge.

 

On August 22/08 we received notice from LL that they had received our Counter-Notification. They informed us that as required by the DMCA, Linden Lab had to disable the named "works", meaning the necklaces. Even though I had already disabled the in-world vendors and the SLX & OnRez Sales of these items, they were ceremoniously snatched from all of our stores, our inventory, and they even went to far as to remove the Ad Textures from our inventory for 2 of the 3 necklaces. Not only this, but a subsequent email notification from OnRez told me that my in-world drop box was no longer online. Upon investigation, we found that they removed both our SLX & OnRez boxes from our mainstore. We were told that pursuant to the DMCA, the claimant had 10 business days to notify LL of filing Court action. If LL did not receive notification of an action, the work(s) would be restored to our inventory.

 

During this time, we urgently appealed to anyone who could assist us in this crisis. There have been several individuals that provided us with amazing support and attention, I can truly say that it went a long way to restoring my faith in humanity at a time when we felt very much alone. We knew we had done nothing wrong, and we needed some advice. All attempts to contact LL via the Removals department seemed to be ignored, but for one brief email in response to a question about whether we would be entitled to see the original DMCA documents:

It seems that LL values the privacy of the individuals filing the DMCA, and not those who have been wrongly accused and abused by the process. We attempted to contact several other organizations both in-world and the VIPO, both of which ignored our requests for assistance. Yesterday marked 11 business days so we sent yet another email to the Removals Department requesting the return of our inventory.

So great, we finally get our necklaces back, we can go back to business as usual. Right? Nope!

 

 

The Box we received from CopyrightAgent Linden (avatar name) contained three of our vendors, one for each of the three necklaces, yet upon investigation, though the necklaces were indeed full perms, the vendor boxes, notecards, posing stands, etc. within the boxes had next owner permissions applied. It took me the better part of two hours to recreate the vendor boxes in all 6 of our locations, as they are all different sizes and sit at different angles depending on the shop layouts, and I had to re-pack the boxes with new notecards, pose stands, and landmarks. We did not receive our OnRez or SLX drop-boxes back, all the items and textures within corresponded with specific listings, and now those will all have to be reset and re-written. This amounts to hours of work.

 

 

Did we receive any apologies or explanations from LL? NO

Did we receive any information about the items we are alleged to have infringed upon? NO

Do we have any idea who filed the DMCA against us? NO

Has LL answered any or all of the questions we have sent them in the last weeks regarding this case? NO

 

I am not posting this to paint a woe-is-me picture of what happened to us. I am not merely whining. I am absolutely appalled with the treatment we have suffered under this so called "DMCA Process" as carried out by LL, and I don't think anyone who has not been through this has any idea what it feels like to be accused of something so heinous as IP Theft and then treated as a lesser member of the Second Life Community by LL on a mere accusation. No case was filed, evidently, and now it is up to LL to pursue false filing claims, which we will absolutely urge them to do. We have no intention of playing shrinking violets and pretending we are merely satisfied to have our things back and our names cleared. We will be seeking legal counsel to determine how we can see the original DMCA as filed. If we can stop this from happening to one other small business person in SL, then we will have turned this awful series of events into something positive, and that is all we can hope for.

 

Again, I thank each and every one of you for your support, encouragement, and advice over the last three weeks. Every comment, every suggestion, and every purchase you have made has kept us afloat. I hope that we can open up a dialogue on this situation, perhaps in a better forum then this little blog, to address the issues that exist for both the Infringed Upon, and the Falsely Accused so that the right things happen for the right people.

Shiba Inu hay thường gọi với cái tên ngắn gọn hơn là Shiba là giống chó có nguồn gốc từ Nhật Bản, một trong sáu giống chó điển hình của xứ sở hoa anh đào và cũng là một trong số ít giống chó cổ xưa vẫn còn tồn tại cho đến ngày nay.

 

Chó Shiba có kích thước khá nhỏ nhưng cơ bắp rất rắn chắc nên trước kia thường được nuôi để săn bắt. Ngoại hình của Shiba gần giống với chó Akita nhưng có kích thước nhỏ hơn.

 

Đặc trưng tính cách của Shiba Inu là thông minh, khá điềm tĩnh, tự lập, trung thành, tình cảm và luôn có ý thức giữ cơ thể được sạch sẽ. Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu đứng yên tại chỗ là bài học cơ bản đầu tiên giúp bạn kiểm soát được chú chó của mình, đặc biệt là khi đưa chúng ra ngoài.

 

Đứng trước mặt chó, giơ tay cầm thức ăn ngay phía trên mũi rồi từ từ di chuyển bàn tay lên đỉnh đầu, vị trí giữa 2 tai. Theo phán xạ cún sẽ đứng yên hoặc ngồi xuống đất. Ngay khi cún đứng yên hãy hô lệnh “Yên” và thưởng cho cún.

 

Đọc hiệu lệnh “Yên” và khi chó Shiba của bạn đã thực hiện được, hãy chờ khoảng 3 – 4 giây rồi hãy thưởng cho chó để chó tập làm quen dần với việc nghe hiệu lệnh. Dần dần kéo dài thời gian hơn và hô lệnh “Yên” để chúng đứng yên tại chỗ. Lặp lại nhiều lần cho chó quen rồi nghỉ.

Dùng lực nhẹ đủ để ấn cún nằm xuống

 

Hô “Nằm” khi cún nằm xuống

 

Thực hiện 10 – 15 lần để hình thành thói quen rồi cho cún nghỉ

 

Cách huấn luyện chó nằm

 

Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu luôn đi bên cạnh

 

Bước 1: Bạn đứng bên phía chân trái của chú chó Shiba, hô “Ngồi” để cún ngồi bên cạnh.

 

Bước 2: Khi chó đang ngồi thì giật nhẹ dây, hô “Đi”.

 

Bước 3: Giật dây và hô “Chậm” khi chú cún đi nhanh, để cún giảm tốc độ để đi ngang chân bạn, đến ngang chân hô “Tốt”. Ngược lại nếu cún đi chậm, thì hô “Nhanh” và làm những hành động tương tự.

 

Kết hợp huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu luôn đi bên cạnh với các lệnh: đi, đứng, nằm, ngồi và bò mang lại hiệu quả rất tốt.

 

Cách huấn luyện chó lại gần chủ

 

Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu bắt tay

 

Bước 1: Ngồi xổm đối diện với chó Shiba Inu và đặt khay thức ăn vào lòng, lúc này chó sẽ nhìn vào khay thức ăn.

 

Bước 2: Hô “Bắt tay”, đồng thời dùng tay trái nhấc chân phải của cún lên bắt tay. Tay phải thưởng đồ ăn cho cún.

 

Bước 3: Lặp lại bước 2 khoảng nhiều lần để hình thành thói quen cho chó.

 

Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu ngồi chào

 

Bước 1: Hô “Ngồi”, chỉnh đuôi cho thẳng và chỉnh tư thế ngồi chuẩn, tạo thế kiềng ba chân vững chắc.

 

Bước 2: Hô “Chào”, đồng thời kéo dây dắt lên tay trái và đỡ chân Shiba Inu. Đứng yên cho đến khi cún mệt, chúng sẽ tự ngồi xuống.

 

Bước 3: Tập 10 – 15 giây và cho cún nghỉ. Lặp lại nhiều lần để hình thành thói quen cho cún.

Bước 1: Tay cầm thức ăn có mùi thơm gần mũi cún

 

Bước 2: Hô “Sủa” và búng tay

 

Nếu cún sủa: Thưởng đồ ăn, khen tốt và gãi tai âu yếm cho cún.

 

Nếu cún không sủa: Bạn bỏ đi chơi với những con chó khác và cho chúng ăn, khi đó chú chó Shiba Inu sẽ sủa vì ghen tức. Bạn quay lại và thực hiện lại bước 2 (nếu nhà chỉ có 1 con, hãy bỏ lơ đi và chơi với đồ chơi khác để chúng ghen)

 

Bước 3: Lặp lại khẩu hiệu và hành động búng tay để hình thành thói quen cho cún.

 

HUẤN LUYỆN CHÓ SHIBA INU NÂNG CAO

Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu tìm đồ vật và gắp mang lại

 

Bạn nên bắt đầu huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu tìm đồ vật và gắp mang lại khi chúng khoảng 4 – 5 tháng tuổi, điều này sẽ giúp chúng phát triển kỹ năng tư duy và đánh hơi.

 

Bước 1: Lấy một đồ vật của bạn và cho Shiba Inu đánh hơi.

 

Bước 2: Ném đồ vật ra xa để kích thích chúng chạy đi tìm đồ vật và gắp mang lại. Nếu cún không chịu chạy đi thì bạn dắt cún đi tìm, hoặc đến điểm đồ vật bị ném để kích thích chúng tìm đồ vật.

Bước 1: Chọn hiệu lệnh. Chọn một từ quen thuộc để làm hiệu lệnh dạy Shiba Inu báo động, ví dụ như “sủa”. Khi sử dụng hiệu lệnh này cần sử dụng đúng một giọng điệu để cún có thể hiểu được.

 

Bước 2: Thực hành với hiệu lệnh.

 

Buộc chân chó vào chân bàn bếp hoặc hàng rào ngoài sân.

 

Đưa ra phần thưởng cho chó thấy và lùi ra sau, đi ra khỏi tầm nhìn của chó.

 

Khi chó sủa hoặc phát ra âm thanh khác, thì hãy lại gần và khen hoặc nói hiệu lệnh. Đồng thời thưởng cho chó.

 

Lặp lại hành động nhiều lần để chó liên hệ lời khen với phần thưởng, hình thành phản xạ với hiệu lệnh.

 

Khi chó đã quen với hiệu lệnh, hãy đưa chúng ra những khu vực khác và tiếp tục rèn phản ứng với hiệu lệnh.

 

Bước 3: Kiên quyết và rõ ràng khi ra lệnh. Khi muốn thử phản ứng của Shiba Inu trong lúc đi dạo, hãy dừng lại và nhìn thẳng vào chúng rồi nói hiệu lệnh với giọng điệu quen thuộc của những lần trước. Nếu chúng không có phản ứng, hãy đưa ra phần thưởng và lặp lại hiệu lệnh một lần nữa.

 

Lưu ý: Nếu chó sủa không ngừng, đừng cho chó phần thưởng thay vào đó hãy đợi nó im lặng và nói lại hiệu lệnh, nếu chó làm đúng thì hãy đưa phần thưởng cho nó.

 

Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu tấn công khi có lệnh

 

Để huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu tấn công khi có lệnh, bạn cần phải kích thích được sự hung dữ của chúng và bài huấn luyện nên được áp dụng khi cún được khoảng 8-9 tháng tuổi.

 

Bước 1: Xích chó vào một vật thể cố định. Nên chọn dây xích dài khoảng 2-3m trở lên để chúng có thể dễ dàng di chuyển.

 

Bước 2: Trêu chó bằng cách đập mạnh xuống đất để kích thích bản tính hung dữ của chúng, tạo ra tiếng động càng lớn càng tốt để kích thích chó muốn tấn công người. Bạn nên đeo đồ bảo hộ trong quá trình huấn luyện để bảo vệ an toàn cho bản thân.

 

Bước 3: Sau khi đã kích thích được sự hung dữ của chó, bắt đầu dạy chó tấn công.

 

Bước 4: Dùng các hành động ở bước 2 để kích thích chó tấn công và cho chúng tấn công thật. Đeo đồ bảo vệ tay và cho chó cắn trực tiếp vào bao tay. Bạn có thể buông bao tay để chúng cắn xé để đảm bảo an toàn.

 

Huấn luyện chó tấn công theo khẩu lệnh cần khoảng 3 – 4 tháng huấn luyện hoặc nhiều hơn. Nếu bạn muốn rút ngắn thời gian huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu tấn công khi có lệnh, hãy liên hệ Trường huấn luyện chó cảnh khuyển 24h.

 

Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu phân biệt người lạ (không theo người lạ)

 

Khi học xong bài Bảo vệ chủ và Tấn Công, thì cún của bạn sẽ mặc định phân biệt người lạ và không đi theo người lạ nữa.

 

Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu dữ thành hiền

 

Bạn cần dành nhiều thời gian để quan tâm và chăm sóc những chú chó Shiba Inu có bản tính hung dữ, cộc cằn. Đối với những chó bị tự kỷ và đề phòng người lạ, nên giao lưu với chúng nhẹ nhàng để làm giảm sự cảnh giác rằng không phải người lạ nào cũng đều nguy hiểm và để dạy chó không nên cắn người.

 

Bắt đầu việc huấn luyện chó dữ bằng cách cho chúng tiếp xúc nhiều với những con chó hoặc các loài vật nuôi khác. Nhớ là dùng dây xích để kiểm soát chó trong lần đầu tiếp xúc.

 

Nếu cảm thấy chó căng thẳng, hãy ở bên cạnh an ủi để làm giảm cảm giác áp lực cho chúng và giữ cho chúng không cắn người. Đồng thời bạn cũng nên huấn luyện Shiba Inu biết nghe lời như: đi, đứng, nằm, ngồi, đi vệ sinh….

 

Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu dữ từ nhỏ sẽ đơn giản hơn chó đã trưởng thành. Đối với những con đã trưởng thành bạn hãy dành nhiều thời gian để quan tâm, vuốt ve, âu yếm khiến chúng giảm bớt sự cảnh giác và bản tính hung dữ của mình. Dần dần chúng sẽ cảm thấy an toàn, nghe lời và dễ dạy bảo hơn. Khi có biểu hiện dung dữ quá mức, cần mang đến trường huấn luyện chó để giải quyết vấn đề này.

 

Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu không ăn bậy, chống ăn bả

 

Cún cưng cần phải có đồ đựng thức ăn riêng. Đến giờ ăn thì bạn bỏ thức ăn vào đó và chúng chỉ được phép ăn đồ ăn trong đó mà thôi.

 

Đặt đồ đựng thức ăn tại một nơi cố định để tạo thói quen cho cún, hình thành thói quen ăn uống đúng nơi quy định.

 

Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu đi vệ sinh đúng nơi, đúng chỗ

 

Chọn địa điểm vệ sinh cố định, phù hợp và thuận tiện. Không được thay đổi địa điểm vệ sinh.

 

Khi thấy chúng có những biểu hiện buồn đi vệ sinh như: đánh hơi tìm chỗ, đi lòng vòng, thì hãy dắt chúng đến địa điểm vệ sinh cố định. Ép cún đi nếu chúng không hợp tác.

 

Lặp lại nhiều lần để hình thành thói quen cho cún.

 

Huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu không cắn phá đồ đạc

 

Dọn dẹp nhà cửa gọn gàng để chúng khó tìm kiếm được đồ gặm.

 

Dùng chuồng hoặc lồng nhốt lại khi có biểu hiện cắn phá đồ đạc.

NHỮNG LƯU Ý KHI HUẤN LUYỆN CHÓ SHIBA INU

 

Việc huấn luyện chó Shiba Inu nên tiến hành từ khi còn nhỏ để đạt được hiệu quả tốt trong thời gian ngắn hơn. Tuy nhiên Shiba Inu là giống chó rất hiền lành, vậy nên trong quá trình huấn luyện đặc biệt là huấn luyện tấn công cần phải kiên nhẫn để việc huấn luyện có được hiểu quả. Đồng thời cũng thường xuyên chơi đùa, âu yếm, chăm sóc chúng để tạo sự gần gũi và có những phần thưởng xứng đáng để khuyến khích nếu chúng huấn luyện tốt.

 

Shiba Inu từ 3 – 4 tháng tuổi dễ huấn luyện tại nhà nhất, chó càng lớn thì việc huấn luyện càng khó vì chúng khó tiếp thu và lúc đó bạn nên đưa chó đến trường huấn luyện chó nghiệp vụ để đạt được hiệu quả tốt nhất.

On final approach. It was too high to get under the AVP's power cables so a man with a long stick was utilised to push them up in the air! ... and no, it's not a real cow, it's a plastic one... don't ask!

 

This aircraft was ordered by Egypt Air but the order was cancelled before completion. The aircraft was completed in Nov-80 and stored at Long Beach until Jul-84 when it was sold to Chemco International Leasing as N3016Z and leased to Zambia Airways.

 

They ceased operations in Dec-94 and the aircraft was returned to Chemco and stored. It was sold to Sky Leasing in Dec-95. It was originally allocated the registration G-DMON but this wasn't taken up and it was leased to Monarch as G-DMCA in Mar-96.

 

It operated it's last service from Orlando-Sanford to Manchester on 26/27-Oct-01 and was retired and stored at MAN the following month. After more than two years in storage it was finally broken up at Manchester in Nov/Dec-03. The complete nose section is preserved at Manchester's Runway Viewing Park.

Chó Alaska hay còn được gọi với cái tên Alaska Malamute hoặc Mahlemuts, là giống chó kéo xe trên tuyết thường được người du mục Eskimo sử dụng để vận chuyển hàng hóa và đôi khi chở cả người. Huấn luyện chó Alaska đứng yên tại chỗ

 

Bài học đầu tiên khi huấn luyện chó Alaska là dạy chúng cách đứng yên tại chỗ. Bắt đầu từ những bài học đơn giản sẽ giúp dần hình thành thói quen nghe theo hiệu lệnh.

 

Cách huấn luyện chó ngồi yên tại chỗ

 

Đứng trước mặt cún cưng, giơ tay cầm thức ăn ngay phía trên mũi rồi từ từ di chuyển bàn tay lên đỉnh đầu, vị trí giữa 2 tai. Theo phản xạ cún sẽ ngồi xuống đất. Ngay khi cún ngồi xuống, hô lệnh “Yên” và thưởng cho cún.

 

Đọc hiệu lệnh “Yên”, dù cún đã thực hiện được nhưng không vội thưởng cho chúng luôn. Hãy chờ khoảng 3 -4 giây, sau đó mới thưởng cho cún để hình thành thói quen nghe theo hiệu lệnh. Dần dần kéo dài thời gian hơn và hô lệnh “Yên” để chúng đứng yên tại chỗ. Lặp lại nhiều lần cho chó quen rồi nghỉ.

Bước 1: Đứng bên phía chân trái của cún cưng, hô “Ngồi” để cún ngồi bên cạnh.

 

Bước 2: Giật nhẹ dây, hô “Đi” khi cún đang ngồi.

 

Bước 3: Khi cún đi nhanh, giật dây và hô “Chậm” để cún giảm tốc độ đi ngang chân bạn, đến ngang chân hô “Tốt”. Ngược lại nếu cún đi chậm, thì giật dây hô “Nhanh” để cún tăng tốc đi ngang chân bạn, đến ngang chân hô “Tốt”.

Cún được 4 – 5 tháng tuổi là thời điểm tốt nhất để bắt đầu huấn luyện chó Alaska tìm đồ vật và gắp mang lại, điều này sẽ giúp chúng phát triển kỹ năng tư duy và đánh hơi.

Chó Alaska có bản tính hiền lành, vậy nên để có thể huấn luyện chúng bảo vệ chủ khi có lệnh bạn cần kiên nhẫn và bỏ ra rất nhiều thời gian với chúng; tuy nhiên có một số chú cún do quá hiền nên có thể sẽ không huấn luyện được. Bước 1: Chọn hiệu lệnh. Chọn một từ quen thuộc để làm hiệu lệnh dạy cún báo động, ví dụ như “sủa”. Khi sử dụng hiệu lệnh này cần sử dụng đúng một giọng điệu để cún có thể hiểu được.

 

Bước 2: Thực hành với hiệu lệnh.

 

Buộc chân chó vào chân bàn bếp hoặc hàng rào ngoài sân.

 

Đưa ra phần thưởng cho chó thấy và lùi ra sau, đi ra khỏi tầm nhìn của chó.

 

Khi chó sủa hoặc phát ra âm thanh khác, thì hãy lại gần và khen hoặc nói hiệu lệnh. Đồng thời thưởng cho chó.

 

Lặp lại hành động nhiều lần để chó liên hệ lời khen với phần thưởng, hình thành phản xạ với hiệu lệnh.

 

Khi chó đã quen với hiệu lệnh, hãy đưa chúng ra những khu vực khác và tiếp tục rèn phản ứng với hiệu lệnh.

 

Bước 3: Kiên quyết và rõ ràng khi ra lệnh. Khi muốn thử phản ứng của cún trong lúc đi dạo, hãy dừng lại và nhìn thẳng vào chúng rồi nói hiệu lệnh với giọng điệu quen thuộc của những lần trước. Nếu chúng không có phản ứng, hãy đưa ra phần thưởng và lặp lại hiệu lệnh một lần nữa.

 

Lưu ý: Nếu chó sủa không ngừng, đừng cho chó phần thưởng thay vào đó hãy đợi nó im lặng và nói lại hiệu lệnh, nếu chó làm đúng thì hãy đưa phần thưởng cho nó.

Để huấn luyện chó Alaska tấn công khi có lệnh, bạn cần phải kích thích được sự hung dữ của chúng và bài huấn luyện nên được áp dụng khi cún được khoảng 8-9 tháng tuổi. Tuy nhiên với bản tính hiền lành, nên chó Alaska rất khó để huấn luyện thành công việc tấn công khi có lệnh và có nhiều chú cún đã không luyện được điều này. Việc huấn luyện chó Alaska nên tiến hành từ khi còn nhỏ để đạt được hiệu quả tốt trong thời gian ngắn hơn.
