This morning there's no rods or staffs to comfort you dressed

As a target as you amble in your chains and stumble through

The corridors that lead to our makeshift valley of death

In the prison's backyard where you'll give us your final breath

Last night, I saw you dine with lovers and human tears

But glanced at me in ways that brought to life my sleeping fears

Back from 5 day long trip to Pune. It was fantastic to say the least. Though Kaas did not show its grandeur, this hill surely did.

This is a 15 second exposure with Hoya ND400 filter, tripod and remote release(Exif intact).

In every breath, a universe unfolds,

Each atom a testament, ancient and bold.

In rivers that flow, in mountains that rise,

The divine essence, a silent guise.

From the flutter of wings to the stars' dance above,

All intertwined in a tapestry of love.

Ramses III and his son Amenherkhepshef. Ramses III introduce his son to the gods and goddesses. Here depicted standing before goddess Isis. On the other side of this entrance to the next chamber, Ramses III and Amenherkhepshef stands before goddess Hathor in a same manner.

The feet of Isis and Hathor, are directed to the tomb interior, like they are accompanying the king and his son further on, in to the tomb.

From the antechamber.

Ramses III added eight small chambers in the second corridor.

This (from the right side, opposite the Nile flood personification) depicts rows of standards representing various divinities stand on the left and right walls. Weapons and arrow quivers drawn on the rear wall.

The first part of the tomb was the work of Setnakht.

Bust of bearded divinity known as Jupiter of Versailles

Rome, 2nd century AD (Bust) and Ile-de-France, 17th century AD (draped torso)

The colossal bust was discovered in 1525 near the Porta del Popolo (the ancient Porta Flaminia in the Aurelian Walls of Rome) and moved by Pope Clement VII [Giulio de’ Medici] to his villa, Villa Madama. Later given to Margaret, Duchess of Parma and Florence (the illegitimate daughter of Charles V), who in turn gave it to Charles' advisor Nicolas Perrenot de Granvelle (1486-1550). He installed it in the Palais Granvelle in Besançon. It was given to Louis XIV in 1683, at which point it was mounted on a pedestal and the stone drapery was added to smooth the transition and give it a herm-like form. Originally intended for the gallery of Versailles, the bust of Jupiter was finally installed in the thicket of the theatre d'Eau, and changed in appearance by adding a draped torso by Jacques Drouilly. Wrongly attributed to the Greek sculptor Myron, the bust was among the first works to leave Versailles for the Louvre in 1798.

If the most interesting man in the world had a tree cousin, this would be it. I originally came across this hidden beauty while exploring Volunteer Park, with my friend Gabriel Tompkins. From a distance, we saw only ordinary looking trees, but as we passed under the branches, it was clear that there was much more to them. They meant something special to each visitor who entered the park. To some, it was a tranquil setting to have a picnic or a group discussion. To many of the children, they were the ultimate climbing trees. To me, they seemed wise, humble, and divine. If these trees could tell stories, I would want to hear about all the people they've seen, and the times they've experienced. I hope that this depiction is a worthy tribute to their time on Earth.

Set of photos taken on Oxford Light Night-Divinity School one of many locations lit spectacularly-but very busy with people everywhere !!

The Divinity School is perhaps the most beautiful medieval building in Oxford and the oldest surviving one built separately (1427-83) for a purely university purpose, to house the lectures and disputations of the theology faculty.

It has a remarkably fine and elaborate fan-vaulted ceiling by William Orchard who also built the fine ceiling of Christ Church Cathedral, and many of the 455 bosses on this ceiling are carved with the initials or arms of those who contributed to the cost of the building.

This room has been used in several movies including the 'Harry Potter' movies and 'The Madness of King George'.

This is the Kuan Yin Temple (观音亭) located at Banting, Selangor of Malaysia. It was a cloudy evening and right before it rains I captured these shots with an under-exposed and customized picture profile, I am glad they bring out some gloomy and spooky mood.
