Camera: iPhone 6 Plus. Apps used: ProCamera, Superimpose, Grungetastic, DistressedFX, ImageBlender, Filterstorm Neue, and a new app from Lightricks which is still in beta testing.
As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.
The photo was taken using the camera App Huemore for iPhone. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used the app called Snapseed to dit the image. This was done by applying the drama filter to the picture. Next I used ShockMyPic on the image to help make the picture look a little more painterly. I then used Mextures to apply some lighting and textures to the image. The Layers that I applied were, Vignette, Mulberry, Ford Screen, Leaker and the Sunflower Overlay. I then used Distressed FX to add some extra texture to the image using the Stirred overlay and the Lade Texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Shadow II frame.
The original photo was taken in the Berkswell. The image is looking out across the village green at the village stocks. They are about 200 years old. These are a little odd as they have 5 holes in the them. This it is said was designed to accommodate three persistent offenders, one of whom had only one leg.

First of all I used the newly updated app Perfectly Clear to edit the image. The edits were made by applying the Fix Tint preset to the photo. Next I used the app called ShockMyPic to bring out some more artistic detail to the picture. I then used the App Distressed FX to add the extra texture to the image using the Cole overlay and the Lade Texture. Finally I added the border to the image using the Wet Plate (damaged surface) Border in the app Alt Photo.
The original photo was taken this afternoon in the city centre area of Coventry. The image is of County Hall. The building which is now used as a Bar and grill, was once home to Coventry's Crown and County Court (this is from the time that Coventry was also classed as a County as well as being a City). It was built and opened in 1783. The building also has attached to it the old Prison Governor's House (out of sight of this picture). The building was still in use as a Court up until 1988 when a new Court complex opened in Much Park Street and Little Park Street. The building has remained empty for some years until last year when it was converted into it's current use as a Bar / Grill House. Part of the old features of the court have been restored including, the cells of the court. These have been transformed into a dining area. The judge’s seat and the crown crest along with the viewing gallery and the dock also survive. One of the more notable cases was in the year 1849. This was the case of Mary Ball. She was convicted of poisoning her husband and was Hanged outside the County Hall. 20,000 people watched the execution of Mary who was the last person to be hanged in Coventry.
The County Hall is classed as a Grade II* listed building. The building is number 15 on my list of 24 (Grade II*) Listed buildings in Coventry that I hope to photograph.
Shot taken with an iPhone 4S and edited with the following apps, Camera+, DistressedFX GlazeApp and Blender.

Today's image was taken late this afternoon in the City Centre of Coventry. It is a view of the Grade I listed St John the Baptist parish Church. The Church dates back to the mid 14th Century and was built on land gifted by Queen Isabella, the Wife of King Edward II.
The photo was taken using the app Camera Awesome on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Handy Photo to edit the image. I used the Retouch feature to delete the tower crane from behind the church, as well as a car that was parked to the left side of the image. I also deleted the sign outside the front of the church. Next I used Snapseed to edit the photo. I cropped and straightened the image then added the Tonal Contrast filter. I also boosted the saturation, ambiance and shadows. After this I used the app DistressedFX to add the Cole overlay and the Vanilla texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Backlit preset, the Vibrant FX, a medium dark Vignette. I then added the Stucco texture and the Marker frame.

The story behind this shot: I saw this tree in an inconspicuous area of a business park. I was struck by its symmetry and the beauty of its leaves. To compose the shot, I had to stand in the middle of a street, which fortunately wasn't very busy.
When started editing the photo, at first I had a hard time getting a satisfactory result. The tree was growing in front of a concrete wall that really detracted from its natural beauty. I tried some filters in Distressed FX, but no filter could disguise the ugliness of the wall. I finally decided to create a new background for the tree.
I took a photo of a white surface, applied a filter in Distressed FX, and then darkened the image considerably. This created the background of the photo, which looks like a nicely stained and aged canvas curtain.
Next, I opened the tree photo in Filterstorm and adjusted the brightness, contrast, and saturation. I saved the image as TIFF so I wouldn't lose any resolution in this step.
Then I used Superimpose to mask the wall out of the tree photo and place it on the Distressed FX background.
