Inspired by a great tutorial prepared by Cedric Blanchon, one of my favorite mobile artists. You can find this tutorial on TheAppWhisperer site: theappwhisperer.com/2013/08/26/mobile-photography-tip-of-...

I used iPhone 4s+Image Blender, Snapseed, SpacePaint, Mextures and DistressedFX

Taken with an iPhone 8+, edited with Snapseed, iColorama, Skylab and DistressedFX on an iPad Pro using Apple Pencil

The photo used for today's image was taken this morning. It is of the Parish Church of St James in Stivichall. The main part of the church dates back to 1815, although there has been a church on this site since Norman times. The church was extended in 1955 where the tower was moved to form the present day Nave.

The photo was taken using the App Huemore on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Camera+ to apply the Clarity setting to the picture to brighten up the image. Next I used DistressedFX to add the Egret overlay and the Charm texture. Finally I used the app PhotoToaster to apply the Charcoal frame.

2010 image from Chadron, Nebraska, reprocessed with DistressedFX and Snapseed. Recently Cheryl Tarrant, creator of DistressedFX app, passed away. DistressedFX is my favorite texture app and I just wanted to thank her for her creativity. Thanks Cheryl.

The image for today was taken this afternoon in the village of Berkswell. It is a view of the Grade I listed Parish Church of St John the Baptist. This Church is of Norman design being built in the 12th Century. There is actually evidence of an even earlier Saxon church on this site, as part of the crypt beneath the church dates back to the 8th century. Also in view in the centre of the image is a wayside preaching cross. The cross itself was restored about 30 years ago, however the stone steps are said to date back to Saxon times and predate the church. The preaching cross is a scheduled ancient monument.

The photo was taken using the app ExposerGL on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I Cropped and Straightened the image and applied the Tonal Contrast filter. I then boosted the Contrast, Saturation and Shadows, as well as decreasing the Highlights and Ambiance. I finally used the Healing feature to delete the telephone wire from above the Church. Next I used the app Mextures to apply the formula called Desolation by Minja Tuomenoksa. I then used DistressedFX to add the Egret overlay and the Lade texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights preset, the Stark FX and a Medium Dark Vignette. I then applied the Old Paper texture and the Parchment frame.

An Ipad edit. Using the Distressed FX and Procreate apps. Texture used is "Sentiment" from the DFX app.

This morning I texturized a Feb. 1979 photo of seagulls and stern of the RMS Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. For this image, I used the Snapseed, DistressedFX Plus, and Formulas applications. The Queen Mary attraction is again in financial trouble. The current operator, Urban Commons, is in bankruptcy. The City of Long Beach is considering future options for the vessel. #queenmary #longbeachcalifornia #distressedfx #snapseed #formulas #alteredreality #ethereal_moods #editfromthesoul #everything_edited #artistry_flair #textured #masters_in_artistry #dailytextures

As it is Valentine's Day I thought I would have a go at editing a single Rose. I took the original photo this evening.

The photo was taken using the App VividHDR on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Handy Photo to edit the picture. I cropped the image a little, then I used the retouch feature to take away the shadow from the back wall. Next I used ShockMyPic to give a slight painterly feel to the image. I then used DistressedFX to apply the Citrus overlay and the Lade texture. Next I used the app Mextures to add the guest formula called Darker days by Ryan Olde. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add a small vignette, the Slate texture and the Shadow II frame.

Today's image was taken near to the Hawkesbury village area on the edge of Coventry. It is a view looking towards an old Engine house (or Pump House) at the junction, of both the Coventry and Oxford Canals. The building is actually situated on the Coventry canal side of the junction.

The photo was taken using the App 645 Pro on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Lightroom to edit the image. I cropped and straightened the picture, then added the Dynamic Colour preset. I then applied some Clarity and a little of the Dehaze feature. I also boosted the saturation and vibrance of the image. Next I used the app Painteresque to add a custom version of the Painteresque 2 preset. I then used DistressedFX to add the Old Souls overlay and the Cedar texture. I finally used PhotoToaster to add the Tuneup preset, the Vibrant FX, a medium dark vignette. I then added the Canvas texture and the Charcoal frame.
