YorKitchen is a shared incubator kitchen that received partial funding through the U. S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Development (RD) Rural Business Enterprise Grant (RBEG) program. This program provides grants for rural projects that finance and facilitate development of small and emerging rural businesses, distance- learning networks, and employment related adult education programs. YorKitchen is a commercially equipped and fully licensed kitchen in which new entrepreneurs can prepare new products without the associated start up costs. This “incubator kitchen” provides full business support to include invoicing, accounting, advertising, outreach, and marketing for entrepreneurs. The YorKitchen is housed in the annex of Central Market in York, PA. This location offers local agricultural producers increased opportunities to develop new value-added products with their produce. Food Service Administrator Randy Williams was named the 2012 University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Year. Williams is known for listening to students and was instrumental in expanding the menu at the Capitol Grille and Food Emporium. He has also worked to add an international flare to the campus menu.

Week 1 – Coastal
Way back in 2011 I started a Project 52, it lasted for three months before I gave up, mainly on account of having started studying for a diploma on a distance learning basis and thereby finding myself incredibly short on time. I’m no longer studying, although time still feels short, but regardless I embark on another effort.
There’s something about the North Norfolk coast that sits comfortably with me, most likely on account of having spent many a year there on holiday as a child. It is a small world, for when Cat and I met one another we soon discovered that for many years we had both holidayed in the same destination. Fast forward a decade or two and my parents have since retired there, with me returning as often as life and the eight or so hour return trip allows. On New Year ’s Day we made the trip over and I was perhaps one of the few people in the country to have enjoyed an ice cream at the beach on New Year’s Day.
So, what is it that appeals quite so much about a break on the coast? There must be inherent nostalgia, but it perhaps now holds its own appeal because it represents a less stressful time, both in the world and my own life. The purpose of this 365 is to provide the flexibility for a solitary photo, if that takes my fancy, or a more comprehensive look at the week.
Distance learning can often lead to procrastination and distraction due to lack of time management. Online classes are just not for some students and those who cannot complete curriculum in a traditional setting cannot immediately turn to virtual school. Strong consideration of the following advantages and disadvantages is recommended.

NEWPORT, R.I. – The U.S. Naval War College (NWC) holds a commencement ceremony for the College of Naval Command and Staff and the College of Naval Warfare 2023 graduating classes June 16, 2023, on board Naval Station Newport. The ceremony, presided over by NWC President Rear Admiral Shoshana Chatfield, saw 468 students from senior-level leadership and intermediate-level leadership courses, including 103 international students representing 78 countries recognized alongside 1,925 students having completed coursework through NWC’s College of Distance Education programs, 121 of whom attended the graduation in person. Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, gave the commencement address. Established in 1884, NWC is the oldest institution of its kind in the world. More than 50,000 students have graduated since its first class of nine students in 1885 and about 300 of today’s active-duty admirals, generals and senior executive service leaders are alumni. Since creating a program for international officers in 1956, the college has more than 4,500 international alumni from 137 countries worldwide. Approximately 10 percent of these alumni have become chief of their country’s respective navy. A plate from one of the many 'Caxton' books on trades and professions that were intended to allow a degree of 'self learning' often alongside Evening or distance learning courses. This deals with Modern Grocery Display and is sub-titled 'a practical work on window dressing and interior display'.
Amongst the various plates and images is this fine frontispiece showing a Co-operative Society shop window display. The Co-operative Wholesale Society, owned by the various subscribing retail local Co-operative Societies, provided many services to member socities and this included a vast array of products and manufacturing. The CWS opened a mararine works at Higher Irlam, to the west of Manchester, in 1917 at a time of a higher demand for edible fats; margarine was seen as an acceptable substitute for butter 'for the working classes'. The Works was close to the CWS's Soap and Candle Works and the chemical processes involving hydrogenation are in some ways allied and indeed prior to the opening of the works Co-op Margarine was made in plant in the Soap Works. The Margarine Works stayed in production until 1995 but the main building has been preserved for new uses.
The window display shows the Co-op's margarine brand "Silver Seal" in various weights and prices along with the 'free deal'; a packet of Sutox Shredded Suet with today's purchase of Silver Seal. It is all set amongst 'English" roses and spring flowers no doubt to give a representation of the purity and freshness of the product!
