Underground Vaults & Storage display at the Kansas Underground Salt Museum in Hutchinson, Kansas. Due to the constant temperature and low humidity several movie companies and businesses store their priceless documents and artifacts in Underground Vaults and Storage.

 

The Kansas Underground Salt Museum is 650 feet underound and is the only mine in the Western Hemisphere, that has an underground museum open to tourists. There are only two other underground salt museums in the world and they are in Poland and Austria.

Ongoing project documenting the work of Titusville based artist Maxine Trainer. Maxine specializes in mixed media contemporary artwork using acrylics, oils and charcoal on handmade paper and stained glass. Maxine teaches art to children and adults both in Titusville and in the Art Gallery of Viera. She runs an art outreach programme, promoting art to young people and organizing art events in aid of the disadvantaged and local charities. A 15-year-old boy collects life jackets from the Greek beach where Syrian refugees abandoned them and fashions a place of shelter from them. Each represents someone who may or may not have survived.

Plenty of Maneki Neko (aka. Lucky Cat) on display in a Japanese hardware store.

antique posted sign, stuffed crow, deer head, coyote skin, antique stuffed racoon with hat, 200+ year old handcarved duck decoy, skinning board for trappers, barbed wire, birch bark, vintage and new photographs, stenciled animals, collage art by Julie Sadler

LCC welding instructor David Pittsley and welding student Mark Speranza, together designed a 10-foot-tall metal sculpture for display in downtown Longview as part of the Longview Outdoor Gallery.

 

David and Mark worked together to install the art sculpture, titled "Building America."

 

A ceremony was held on February 23, in front of a gathering of LCC staff and faculty, community members, city leaders along with friends and family of the welders.

 

The sculpture is located near the corner of Commerce and Vandercook and will be on display for one year.
