This had some great musical accompaniment too.
I wish I could remember what culture this exhibit was about. A lot of the displays were only in Czech, so sometimes it was hard to find out at all.
The Naprstek Museum in Prague is devoted to artifacts from indiginous peoples from pretty much everywhere except Europe. It was founded by and named after Vojtěch Náprstek, a rather amazing individual who you should totally go look up. In the mid-19th century, he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and published a Czech newspaper, all the while studying and getting to know the rapidly disappearing native American peoples. The museum mostly consists of his extensive collection, and is housed in what used to be his mother's brewery/distillery/inn.
A magical display of hanging crystal ornaments, including stars, hearts, and teardrops, shimmering under a dreamy purple light. The glass pieces catch and refract the ambient glow, creating a sparkling, almost ethereal atmosphere against a softly blurred background of warm bokeh lights. The composition draws the eye through layers of delicate, suspended crystals, evoking a sense of wonder and festive enchantment.

This is a background detail in the window of a high class jeweller where i live. Normally the image is dull and flat looking but this one was struck by sunlight.

Pottery I have collected over the years... McCoy Cascade and green vases from the 1960's; Russel Wright and Camark teapots; Royal Haeger horse heads and large plate; McCoy onyx from the 1940's. Displayed in a carved oak display case from a Colorado antique mall. I rather like it!
Designed by Gerry Judah, this central display in front of Goodwood House depicts the banking of Avus as if the cars - an Audi Avus Quattro and an Auto Union Streamliner - are racing together. The Streamliner is a replica built especially for the display.

There's this odd store in Jackson Heights on 37th avenue that sells tons and tons of ceramics, from Lladro sculptures to collector's plate sets. The window display is always a curious montage of things...

Apollo-Soyuz display at the at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center in Hutchinson, Kansas. This display was an unflown backup for the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. In Russia it was the Soyuz-Apollo Test Project.
The Cosmosphere was founded in 1962 when Patty Carey, Hutchinson civic leader and amateur astronomer, opened the Hutchinson Planetarium on the Kansas State Fairgrounds. The Cosmosphere is nationally recognized space museum.
