Rep. Markey hosted a roundtable discussion at the John and Christina Markey Senior Center in Malden, MA, with members of the healthcare and senior citizens’ advocacy communities to discuss the recent “debt deal” struck in Congress that could lead to billion dollars in healthcare cuts.
In SCCA Part II, Dr. Simeone picked up the discussion where he left off from Part I that was about the early days of the Automobile Racing Club of America which developed into the SCCA. Part II discussed the SCCA from the 1948 to the present time. The SCCA is one of the most prominent automobile clubs in America today. Since 1948, the SCCA has sanctioned both amateur and professional road racing, rallying, and autocross events across America. Featured cars for SCCA Part II were the 1950 Allard J2, the 1952 Cunningham C4R, 1952 Jaguar C-Type, the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupe, the 1956 Maserati 300 S, and the 1956 Jaguar D-Type.

October 25, 2019: Johns Hopkins SAIS hosted a discussion on the relationship between the crisis of liberal democracy and world order featuring Jeffrey Goldberg, Editor-in-Chief of The Atlantic, Anne Applebaum, Senior Fellow of International Affairs and Agora Fellow-in-Residence, and Dean Eliot A. Cohen. The discussion was in celebration of the school's 75th Anniversary and the Reunion Classes of 1969, 1994, and 2009.

The British Government is funding a human rights awareness campaign in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to raise awareness about basic human rights. The FCO is working in partnership with local NGO called Asuda who specialise in promoting the rights of women and providing support to women in distress.
