LaSalle park in Burlington Ontario. The last few minutes of light catch a pair of Canada Geese heading to their nest for the night.
... with the tall ship St. Lawrence II. We docked at 1 AM at the entrance to the Murray Canal near Brighton, Ontario, Canada. The Watch Officer and I had the 4 AM watch. I captured this as he strolled down the pier waiting for the rest of the crew to wake up.
Common chicory, Cichorium intybus, is a somewhat woody, perennial herbaceous plant usually with bright blue flowers, rarely white or pink.
Now you might ask how one has a favourite tree and that would be an understandable question. It was Norm who first spotted this tree from a very long distance and he began to drive down the dirt road toward it and there's something about the way it sits there guarding the field and directing the traffic that I really like each time we're in the Breslau area.
I've got pictures of this tree in every season. In winter as the snow blows and gusts across the field the tree actually acts as a sign post that the bend in the road is coming since the road and fence posts almost disappear on a stormy day. I was glad to see that it survived last winter's big ice storm.

A photo taken in Benmiller, Ontario, which is a community not far from Goderich, which itself is on the shores of Lake Huron. Photo was taken using the Fall Foliage setting of my DSLR, and post-production in Photoshop using Vibrance tool to bring out the colour of the leaves.
I really love this photo. It was took in Menton, a nice village from the Cote d'Azure. There were an infinte number of sweets shops and this was one that retain my attention !

Famous hotel in Nice, France. Built by a Romanian (just like me ) architect ! Landmark of this city !
I believe this is one of the best views I have ever experienced . This photo is taken from a steep hill, which really challenges you to climb it. When almost reaching the top, you are stunned by this splendid view. It is near the Castle of Prince Albert de Monaco.
I wish I would take the New Year's Eve dinner in this Hall ! Happy new year !
