T dot as is Tamworth, not Toronto!
I had a crazy it’s for a sunrise shot, so I snuck out to this little spot in the middle of nowhere early morning.

With Noranda-bound tonnage in tow, Ontario Northland's gorgeous heritage unit rounds the bend at Boston Creek in the pouring rain. The chase is on.
Cold water, warm sky.
As I snapped away I could hear the ice start shifting more, I could feel the still air begin to gently move and I could see the geese shuffle into the water.

You don't always have to have the Milky Way in a night-scape. The rest of the stars shine too!

Recently, I have tried to ignite some steel wool, to spin it and to find what it happens. With the help of one of my friends, I managed to take this shot, as a 2nd attempt. I enjoyed the moment. More to come !
Under moody October skies, an eastbound autorack train negotiates the serpentine contours of Canadian Pacific's route along the north shore of Lake Superior at Neys, Ontario.
A friend of mine spotted this composition. I have just edited the light, to make it visible enough to be understood.

This spot from the Botanical Garden of Nice particularly impressed me because of the sense of autumn combined with summer it was emanating. I really enjoyed taking this picture !
A quiet corner of Harbour Square Park in Toronto, where a small set of stone steps rests by the lake under a canopy of early-fall leaves. The warm evening light brings out the texture in the stone and foliage, capturing an everyday moment of calm along the city’s waterfront.

The Distillery’s 19th-century brickwork and industrial gantries overlook the Saturday Winter Village crowd — Toronto’s layered history in motion.
Parting shot from Seymour Lake, Trent River, Ontario and that's a wrap on my holiday. Back to work tomorrow!

I have explored the rooftops of the greatest touristic attraction in Iasi, Romania, with a friend. It is forbidden to go up there, but we managed to take some shots. The day after that, we went again up there, to be chased and threatened by the security agents of this area.

I managed to create this shot using Photoshop. It is the final result of combining 3 shots, differently exposed, as the contrast between the sun, the grass and the houses is huge.Hope you like it !

I've just come home from a few days in Northern Ontario visiting family and the drive along Hwy 69 was spectacular. It's a wonder to me to see the changes in the landscape not just during the change of seasons but the actual land of the Canadian Shield. Through Muskoka there are gorgeous rocks, trees and lakes and it certainly is one of the jewels of the province of Ontario. Yet north of Muskoka the appearance begins to change and it becomes more rugged with more evergreens and even more lakes. It has the 'call of the wild' and I hope this photograph expresses that -- this one has an emotional pull for me.
This photograph was taken, as the title says, in the Magnetewan Territory. The new controlled access highway hasn't yet been completed so the ability to get to places like this are still open. I see these scenes and realize this is what the people of the north have seen for centuries.....long before Europeans arrived and long after we're all dust. The north has an enduring quality that demands endurance.

Clontarf Garage based EV 12 basking in the evening sunshine at Howth Summit terminus, home to route 31 & peak time route 31B, which operated via Strand Road.
This is the terminus for routes 31 & 31B, but the start for those about to enjoy a cliff walk around Howth & the spectacular views around the rugged coastlibe of Howth peninsula.
Its better than listening to your partner, Dublin's Q102 radio station.
