People live in the house.
There is an alley between the house and the house.
The alley is a space of communication and a space of disconnection.
And after seeing with my own eyes the atrocities that man is capable, I needed some time off, to reflect, to grab forces to continue living contonuar and so worth
STRESS - a disconnection from the earth :p
One hell of a day! How about yours? I just wanna lie down and sleep in my dreams....LOL! But come to think of it.....sometimes being busy is fun and exciting! Bring it on!
"Trapped in the Third Dimension" is another stunning piece in our CBD from CTO. These are the artists words about his piece; "The disconnection from our own humanity and over saturation in fear has us trapped in the Third dimension. Perhaps the difference between fear and love is a vertical ascension toward a higher dimension. A dimension closer to our essence."
Multicolored jumper wires included with an electronics prototyping board kit. The jumper assortment, fitted with pins at the ends for easy connection and disconnection, also includes black and white ones which were weeded out for this assignment.
"Isolation, loneliness, and disconnection haunt you in every aspect of your life. From your daily commute to airports and restaurants, you'll always encounter people glued to their cell phones, iPads, tablets, computers, and laptops, desperately trying to connect, communicate, and be heard. But if you look around, you'll see that they're all ignoring those around them, avoiding personal contact, and being too shy to speak."
/Tony Jethon Celini, "Loneliness: A Virus in the Modern Age."/

Another year that ends, another year with you (✿╹◡╹)
I want to thank all those designers who have trusted me sponsoring my blog, as well as all those who read it: you all make possible these moments of disconnection from the real world. In today's post you can see a small piece of each of the blog-posts that I have done throughout 2016. It has not been a very active year as far as my blog is concerned due to my real life, but in each of them I have worked with great enthusiasm, as I have always done, as I have been doing since 2010 when everything started ღゝ◡╹)ノ♡
Thanks to all of you who support my little store, Label Motion, thanks to all the bloggers who are part of my team and work hard with beautiful photographs. Thanks to my SL friends, thanks even for the efforts and the trips of some of them to meet in the real world.
Thanks to Second Life, and thanks to every little thing that surrounds it because somehow, it's part of my life.
Happy New Year's Eve.
With love ♥ anne.

How does the unknown look and feel like? What do you think about when you approach the horizon line and you can’t see what is behind it?
One of the biggest tests for the photographer is to be able to transform feelings and visual stimuli into a photograph so spectators are able to experience the same emotions as if they were over there.
This photo aims to pass the feeling of voyage to the unknown that is frequently accompanied by isolation, disconnection from the regular world and stepping out of your comfort zone.

In ‘The Genesis Exhibition: Do Ho Suh: Walk the House’, Korean-born, London-based artist Do Ho Suh invites visitors to explore his large-scale installations, sculptures, videos and drawings in this major survey exhibition.
Is home a place, a feeling, or an idea? Suh asks timely questions about the enigma of home, identity and how we move through and inhabit the world around us.
With immersive artworks exploring belonging, collectivity and individuality, connection and disconnection, Suh examines the intricate relationship between architecture, space, the body, and the memories and the moments that make us who we are.

Nest/s (2024)
Nest/s is connected to an ongoing fabric architecture series Suh calls ‘Hubs’. They form what he describes as an ‘impossible’ architecture. The Hubs serie is based on threshold, such as corridors or entryways, from spaces Suh has occupied throughout his life. In Nest/s, each section is drawn from rooms Suh has inhabited, which together create a continuous passageway. Unlike most building materials, the translucency and delicacy of the textile conveys impressions of the original space rather than acting as a precise replica. The work is made through centuries-old techniques of working with fabric in Korea. The polyester material is today used for traditional Korean summer clothing, emphasizing Suh’s interest in the relationship between architecture and the body. Nest/s breathable and porous quality allows in the surroundings of the museum and the sight of visitors passing through it, blurring the boundaries between inside and outside? Suh considers the fabric architectures to be ‘activated’ once occupied.

Did you get your disconnection notice?
Mine came in the mail today
They seem to think I'm disconnected
Don't think I know what to read or write or say
Glossaries injected daily
Words and numbers spell out the price to pay
It simply states "you're disconnected baby"
See how easily it all slips away

TAEYANG - 'VIBE (feat. Jimin of BTS)'
I can’t express it in words
You gotta know you got that vibe
Your smile is Fine Art
You wake up my soul
You got me feelin’ so right
It’s a vibe
This gon’ be the one and only theme song
You’ve got all of my attention
You’re my one and only mission
Nothing is impossible Baby lights camera action
I’m the music, you’re my Topline
You’re the city, I’m the Skyline
I’m the movie, you’re the Highlight
Falling on a dark sky like Twilight
Just gets better
Got me binge-watching you with that attraction
You don’t know I want your love (know I want your love)
Before this night ends Baby
This gon’ be the one and only Anthem
Can feel my sixth sense, it’s a stimulation
Holding hands causing an electrocution
Before you my world was in disconnection
I’m the stage, you’re the Spotlight
You’re the Han River, I’m the Nam San
It can’t be more perfect than this
Falling on a dark sky like Twilight
I could feel it
I’m trapped inside your space, You’re my Matrix
You don’t know I want your love (know I want your love)
Before this night ends Baby
Look at the stars
Moon’s shining so bright
All through the night
It’s lighting us up
And the way you look at me
I want to keep feelin’ the vibrations
(You gotta know you got that vibe)
You know we got that vibe baby (till the sun rises)
Look at me, look at me, I got the vibe
I can feel it, It’s a vibe

When I am connected – I'm actually
Isolated. And when I'm disconnecting –
I re-connect. To myself, to whatever
Surrounds me.
But what is it that makes me believe
That I'm connected? What in this connection
Prevent me from knowing what connection is?
And when I am connected? And how?
Speculating on the Blue
Flaka Haliti
2015
Sand, Metal, Light
56th Venice Biennale, Kosovo Pavilion
«Speculating on the Blue is a site specific installation conceived by Flaka Haliti for the Kosovo Pavilion at the Biennale Arte. With this work she addresses the topos of borders that are not only part of her personal history but also our everyday global reality. The artist specifically examines the features of the borderland, often deserted and seemingly decaying within a short period of time. Barriers are manmade manifestations of political decisions made about territories, which are often drawn with little regard for natural and ethnical boundaries. Haliti aims at de-militarizing and de-familiarizing the aesthetic regime that is embodied by physical borders through the creation of a counter image. In doing so she transforms the former into a sign of optimism. Her approach is one of recontextualizing global politics through disconnection from its regime of appearance. The metaphor of the horizon, simultaneously emblem of possibility and enigma of our limitations is woven into the fabric of our past and present.
By drawing on the universal meaning of this metaphor, the artist removes the image economy of the horizon from any specific spatial-temporal context and speculates on its validity as an eternal truth.»

"Yes, she keeps her hair, so neat and fine
And every pound of her is mine
I'll be her lover boy, I'll be happy as a king
She makes a lot of money, don't have to worry about a thing"

A black and white street photograph capturing three individuals seated on a bench, each engrossed in their mobile phones. The image highlights the digital bubble phenomenon, where people are connected online but detached from their immediate surroundings. The man on the left, possibly asking for alms, contrasts with the indifference of the others, illustrating the isolating effect of technology in modern urban life.
Early morning walk around the park under the Tagus suspended bridge. The structure was completely hidden until suddenly the light broke through and revealed the architectonic details. It still looks like an ethereal apparition. One thing I like about this place is the harmony between the green spaces and the architectonic structures, but when seen from a certain perspective or state of mind the two realities look completely strange and disconnected from each other.
My last week in New Zealand was more of a ramp-up than the wind-down it could have been. My last weekend in the Southern Alps was spent at the Biophilia Festival, helping to capture all the beauty of the festival, but a little bonus is that the festival welcomes paraglider pilots to 'fly-in' to the festival if the weather allows. I took my wing for the weekend with tempered expectations of a flight, but on the second day the forecast held true and a group of over a dozen of us nipped up the hill at the bottom-right of the frame and set up on what was quite a small knoll, especially given the unusual density of pilots.
Two pilots launched and floated genlty up in thermals just out front of the launch, showing the rest of us there was no need to hang around. One of the other festival photographers - the talented Jordan McInally - hiked up with us, and as I launched I hooked straight in to a little thermal, allowing me to bank the wing up right in front of him. Needless to say he got some shots that I'm delighted to be a subject in. I say 'a' subject, as really the backdrop of mountains surrounding Queenstown is a subject in its own right. The climb continued, taking me well above the launch and the festival, allowing me to capture the setting of the festival in the way that I'd really hoped I'd have the opportunity to do.
All-up, I enjoyed over an hour soaring above the Moke valley - an experience made even better by being my first time flying that spot - before dropping back in to the festival to continue three days of sublime disconnection from the outside world.

Rubbing/Loving: Seoul Home (2013-2022)
Suh conjures his childhood home in Seoul – the hanok he said “has followed me” – through his work, made decades after leaving South Korea. He wrapped the exterior of the building in mulberry paper, rubbing over it with graphite to create a portable trace. Through this labor-intensive process, Suh captured tiny details, such as the texture of the wood and decorative features. He then left the paper on the house for nine months, where it also gathered traces of the surrounding environment, including moisture and soil. He later carefully peeled off the paper tracings to re-erect them on an aluminum frame. Through this process, he is interrogating ‘how and whether the site is movable’. The title “Rubbing/Loving”, refers to the intimacy of the rubbing process for Suh, as an act of being attentive. It also plays on the lack of distinction between the letters R and L in the Korean language, which Suh recognizes when switching between Korean and English.

Hi everyone.
I won't carp on this. But it is a big anniversary for me. I actually feel very free from this now. It clouded all off 2010 and took my light away. But it is back, I found it in Arosa and through the passage of time.
My father was a gigging musician, so this shot, from my November tour, is a tribute to him and the nights he spent.
Many of you already know the story.
But some of you don't. If anyone is interested, this is a record of what happened with my father. I won't mention it again any time soon, but I need to make another tribute to his memory after all that happened.
I never met my father.
Easter Day 2008 a woman contacted me about him, and I decided to try to find him. We spoke for the first time the day I learned the friend in this video was killed in a car accident.
www.youtube.com/user/piano4film#p/u/70/cL4oJ7K1KY8
After this I had a few phone calls and some letters and gifts from my father. July 2008 I drove to the remote area in the Catskills to meet him, but I could not find him.
We were never in the same room, face to face. We never touched or saw each other's expression. I had not heard from him in about 3 months and we had not spoken in about 6.
I never learned much about him and had many questions.
I still do. I learned 1/11/10 he died sometime in the last 2 weeks.
1/12/10
He lived in a very remote area, in a 12 by 5 foot trailer with no electricity, a battery powered radio, and a propane heater. He was last seen Dec 22, and had probably been dead since around Christmas. I am waiting for the coroner's report, a few of my father's things, and his ashes. I am used to the idea, though sad, and full of questions. He obviously chose to be alone. He was free, and lived out the consequences of his actions.
1/20/10 a box with some of his belongings arrived. The smell was horrible.
I have salvaged a few documents and a xylophone. It is strange to see the remnants of a life. You can hear it here:
www.flickr.com/photos/piano4film/4311045566/
The box was very hard to open it. It contained all I will get of my father's belongings.
A man I never met.
It had eye-glasses, a Bible, papers, some interesting family documents, a photo album with several pictures of a dog in a burned out house, and this photo of me:
www.flickr.com/photos/my_fake_plastic_earth/3431723004/
I sent it to him after my recital on Horowitz' piano.
1/25/10 His ashes and a letter from Veterans Affairs offering burial stones and services arrived today.
I am relieved to have them and hope to spread some of them in Kamakura. He was stationed for a time in Yokohama.
1/11/11
I took the ashes to Japan in June of 2010... I made this video
www.flickr.com/photos/piano4film/4744584201/
A year has past since the phone call from the police. I am much more at peace.
But puzzle at what almost was.
The insurance, coroner, and bank conspired so I got no money. I learned how the people looking in on him would wait weeks to see him. He really was alone.
The hardest part for me is there are no happy memories, only questions, horror, and disconnection. But I found my light again. The last Swiss trip really helped me.
Thanks if you got this far.
All the best
Tony
