Our Christmas table with much less guest,

we are usually about 20 but because of covid we decided to have it in 2 places for safety,

My submission for the FlickrFriday theme topic Minimum. My interpretation of Minimum is the lowest amount of something that serves the purpose of its being. On the surface, this image is about the minimum amount of candlelight that creates the atmosphere. Then it is the minimum amount of ambient light from neon signs filtering through the plastic covers of this makeshift roadside dining place. It is also about the minimum amount of social distancing we have to have to safely live our lives during this pandemic.

I washed the sprouts and set the dinner table!! Yes, we have the family for New Year's dinner this afternoon so, for the moment, all nice and quiet but it's going to get noisy when my daughter and son arrive with their lovely children ... I can already hear the noise!!

Many people celebrate Christmas in the morning of Dec 25. We start the celebration the night before, on Christmas Eve, and this is the day when the Santa comes in with his presents!!! Tradition calls for 12 dishes to be served that night. Count if there is 12 dishes… What an awesome time!!!

I had an avocado for lunch, and has found that Vas'ka likes it too.

Thank you, dear friends, for all your visits, faves and comments. I'm greatly appreciated!

Street of Paris dans the charm Paris and the charm of its terrace bar and restaurant. Paris 11, near the Gare de Lyon.

“Come along my dears!” Mother called to the children who were squealing and laughing uproariously, lost amidst the joys and delights of their party games. “It’s time for tea! Cupcakes for everyone!”

The theme for "Looking Close… on Friday" for Friday 11th of April is "crazy cupcakes". Now I know you are going to say that this should be a macro shot, and it is. What might surprise you is that everything in this photograph, from the furnishings and wallpaper to the crockery and cupcakes are made up entirely of 1:12 size miniatures from my extensive collection which I use for photography purposes. Anyone who follows my photostream knows that I love and collect 1:12 size miniatures which I photograph in realistic scenes. The artifice of recreating in minute detail items in 1:12 scale always amazes me, and it’s amazing how the eye can be fooled. Every one of these dainty cupcakes topped by dainty flowers, Union Jacks, sprinkles and marzipan rabbits (it is the lead up to Easter after all) and covered cream icing is only five millimetres in diameter and between five and eight millimetres in height! Each one could sit comfortably on the pad of my little finger! Made in England by hand from clay by former chef turned miniature artisan, Frances Knight, her work, like these cupcakes, is incredibly detailed and realistic, and she says that she draws her inspiration from her years as a chef and her imagination. I hope you like my choice for this week’s theme, that the cupcakes are crazy enough, and that they make you smile!

I'm happy to share that Discover Taos chose my photo of Sean Horner as their cover shot for the Winter 22 | Spring 23 edition. They also decided to use my work for five full pages, two double-page spreads, and several stories sprinkled with photos to help illustrate the text. You can find the magazine in this week's Taos News newspaper and around Taos County for the next ~ six months.

It means so much to me that my photos help show how beautiful Northern New Mexico is to locals and visitors who will look through this magazine.
