we had a family crab-feast last night for my cousin's belated birthday, and of course my photography instincts kicked in. i thought this was a nice representation of the evening...unfortunately, this little guy didnt have as good of a night as we did!

The Golden Chariot has 19 specially-designed coaches. There are 11 passenger cars. The design of the cabins is inspired and draws from the Mysore and Belur Halebid schools of art and architecture. The bedspreads are hand-woven by artisans, the guardians of age-old traditions.
The cars have been named after the dynasties that ruled Karnataka (Kadamba, Hoysala, Rastrakuta, Ganga, Chalukya, Bhahamani, Adhilshahi, Sangama, Shathavahna, Yudukula, Vijayanagara), the birds of Karnataka (Kajana, Kogile, Minchulli, Marakata, Navilu) and Karnataka's cultural icons (Jambusavari, Dasara, Nandi).
The two restaurants are designed in the style of Belur and Hampi, catering to vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

We have a little table by our garden chair down the shaded area of the garden. Smuggly has decided that it is a great place to chill. Does anyone else out there make use of Groupon? We occasionally do - the alpaca day out was a Groupon purchase and I often use them for spa days. I saw one recently advertised and thought "Oh I must do that" and so on Sunday we are visiting a cat café in Bournemouth (recently opened) which was advertised through Groupon. For a discounted price we get to have lunch and sit with cats. I can hear you all say, well you could do that at home for nothing and so we could......... but it is always nice to meet other cats and they have been rescued so the money goes towards a good cause.

Our dining room is quite cramped at the moment... but it's very cozy nonetheless. In the Spring the dark furniture gets painted white & James' guitar, keyboard and all the records get transferred to the media room in the works.
