I've learned everything from the HA blog and my flickr friends. I've learned to make my own background paper (here by repeatedly stamping the little stamp from the Mix and Match set). I've learned how to accessorise a card with the right amount of bling :). And best of all, I've learned what a hybrid card is and how much fun they can be. Thank GOODNESS for Hero Arts.

2 shots taken from almost the same spot in Ramsgate. One with a Fuji X100 digital camera and the other with a Praktica BC-1 with a 50mm F1.8 Lens loaded with Ilford Film.
I've been press-ganged into doing the illustration work for our company Christmas card again this year, and had to bring in Photoshop/the graphics tablet. Doodled this picture of one of my colleagues eating his lunch while waiting for the boss(es) to say yay or nay on the card design (which is nowhere near as cool as last year's... www.flickr.com/photos/pseudanonymous/15855116969/in/album...)

The apparent discreteness of main colours is an artefact of human perception
and the exact number of main colours is a somewhat arbitrary choice.

Digital clock at junction of Berliner Strasse and Paracelsus Strasse, looking towards the Wasserturm Nord, 18.52. The same design of clock was also used at Halle Südstadt (see following link).

I think the Barkas B1000 van in the picture is an ambulance and you can see the blue smoke from the exhaust of its two stroke engine.
A shot of the same location from 1994 can be seen in the following link.

This clock, after several attempts by the city council to minimize its impact on its surroundings, was replaced in 2009 by an inocuous analogue clock that had very small hands and which had no impact at all.

Not that I am anticipating my demise any time soon, but what will happen to all these electronic images that I post? Will they be around decades from now? Will Flickr--or some direct descendant--still be here? If my images are still viewable, will people wonder who I was, what I was about?
These are things that cross my mind on a rather moody and introspective Thursday morning.

It came as a surprise. I received from the UK's Digital Camera magazine's editor asking for a high resolution copy of my Golden Gate Bridge photo as they want to featured it on their "Hot Shots" readers showcase section on the upcoming July issue. I really have no idea where did this come from, and for a sec, I actually thought "Is it a scam or something?" Well, at least they didn't ask me to wire some funding to them first! =P
And I have no idea that it actually is that "big" of a print! A double page full page print showcase! =)
The Digital Camera magazine is one of a few magazine that I actually subscribed (via Zinio for my iPad), and enjoyed reading it a lot! I would highly recommended to anyone who want to learn more of photography technique!
The magazine should be out in the UK for a week already, and for most subscriber around the world already. But here in the States, our bookstores usually is a month or two behind (as usual for most oversea magazine).
Also view the original size if you want to read my description on this shot!
Thank you again for all your support, view, comment, and fave!! =)
This is a 2D artwork called DRAGONS FLY that was created from a high res photoshoot I did with my recently created 3D models of dragonflies in Zbrush.
I really enjoy completing each of my 3D Mesh creations for Secondlife with a respective high resolution 2D artwork. If you go into my gallery in world you will see my other Mesh/2D art combos.
I also used 3 textures from the amazing texture collection of Pareeerica as the backdrop to this artwork. Here is the link to her amazing collection of textures!
