a couple of shots from september 2011. spending a bit of time in my archives of late. not a bad thing. should post some more recent stuff soon.

I-5 bokeh. bokeh never gets old.

Am I in the Matrix? That's one thought I had as I looked at the vast planted forests of fast growing Noble Fir trees along the road into Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. The trees seemed to branch in such uniform patterns that they almost resemble digital trees perhaps out of a video game. Instead this forest was planted a few years after Mount St. Helens obliterated the forest that was here before with its famous eruption.

For Hero Arts May challenge focusing on flowers. For each of the 3D flowers I cut out the same Hero Arts Silhouette shape flower 4 times, scrunched them up, and stacked them together to create the dimension. I also cut some in green and cut them apart to use as leaves.

I've been messing around on Mecabricks a little and modeled this old speeder bike from a couple years back. Here is a link to the model: www.mecabricks.com/en/models/Qb82xpkk21z. I don't think I'll be switching over to digital building, but my experience was that Mecabricks is pretty easy to use. I can see this being a useful tool.
