I wanted to bring this sequence of 4 shots together for a while now.
It was when we had the big surf down on the Gold coast.
A lot of people had fun with the huge waves where breaking over the walkways around Snapper rocks, amongst that was this mother with her little son, which got completely submerged by the wave.
He came out of it laughing and safe.

Hello everyone!
Just bought a Nikon D800 to get into full frame (Thanks Phil for the advise).
Went into the city last night to try it out for the first time.
Brisbane's new river walk is now open and offers a lot of new views of the bridge and city.
The lights on the bridge are constantly changing colour and they are programmable by the public at the moment. So it is a bit tricky to get a good image without a lot of noise.
Here my first go with the D800. Many more to follow hopefully.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking

I invite you to visit all my photo-gallery. Thanks
The tiling is a background I created, one tile at a time. I layered the tile background and eye image to generate the effect you see. It was a fun effort. I hope you like it.

A few years ago, in early spring, Doc and I were travelling in the Yukon, before the campgrounds and RV Parks had opened. When mid-afternoon arrived we decided that we had better grab a motel room for the night. On the outskirts of Whitehorse, we found a well maintained little place, and checked in with the owners. With our key in hand, we arrived at the door and opened it, expecting to see the usual bedroom and bath layout. Instead, it looked like we had entered someone's kitchen! We didn't know whether to go in - or back out. We checked the key number and the door number and they matched - so in we went. To our surprise - (and for the usual low nightly fee) - we had a full bath - complete kitchen, and a full bedroom with two double beds! It was as if we had rented a small apartment, Needless to say, we quickly booked two more nights, and enjoyed all of the sights and sounds of the city of Whitehorse, as well as the surrounding wilderness - while also enjoying all of the comforts of home. HSS!

I thought I have another go at this shot of the Sydney Harbour bridge.
Always thought there is something missing to get that punch I wanted.
After many hours in CS6 I finally like it.
Note the reflection is added in Photoshop as you can see on the original post from June.
Constructive criticism would be good here, as I am tiring to improve.
Thanks for looking
