Went of the nothingness we needed a planet where to spread us ! We created the Earth Catcher..

Exit of our most dark thoughts, it grows and developed feeding on the planet !

Further to the complete digestion of the Earth and all resources, now it stays in the plant only to evacuate the inedible... That we qualify as waste: we !

We have not enough luck to save our planet, Let us save together !

The Waitrose supermarket chain is going ahead with Europe’s first fleet of Scania distribution trucks that run on 100% renewable biomethane or CNG, compressed natural gas. These trucks use a high pressure carbon fibre fuel tank that gives them a range of 500miles or 800km. They are also rolling out zero-emission refrigeration units which are powered by the trucks own engine so there will be no need for an auxiliary Diesel engine to power the units needed to keep produce cold.

Biomethane is produced by the anaerobic(without oxygen) digestion of organic waste like crop residue, animal slurry and food waste and at the moment all the biomethane used by Waitrose’s trucks use gas produced from food waste but from 2021, it is hoped that it will all come from the digestion of cow manure/slurry.

Why switch to biomethane? Well using it will produce 83% less CO2 emissions compared to diesel, with lower NOX and particulates emitted. It will also result in a 30-40% cheaper fuel!

The housefly (also house fly, house-fly or common housefly), Musca domestica has a habit of blowing bubbles after they consume food. The process is as follows. They perch on a branch and blow a bubble. Once the bubble reaches some size, they hold it for a while in their mouth. Then they suck it inside.

Though there are no clear explanations with the scientific fraternity. However, one explanation is that the houseflies tend to suck out the nutrients through their proboscis, which appears like a straw or elephant's trunk. There are chances that the nutrient solution sucked in was highly diluted.

So possibly, to release the surplus liquids and make the chyme (consumed food) concentrated, they send the solution out of their

mouth, hold it in the sun and breeze to reduce water and then suck back in. However, this is just a theory that is yet to be proven.

There is a tiny caterpillar just below the housefly, but it has got nothing to do with this fly!

This is my first visit to North Carolina. While we spend a fair amount of time exploring museums and tourist attractions, I sneak off into the forests and woodlands every chance I get. There is surprisingly little fungal life even though there is plenty of rotting wood and deep leaf litter. The third important ingredient for fungus is moisture. I think its a little dry still and beginning to get get cold which discourages growth. Spring will likely be better. This species is generally found near dead and dying trees.

Why, oh why is this Bubble Blowing Fly doing it? It would appear there are a variety of explanations but nobody knows for sure...

Some suggestions from: diptera.info/articles.php?article_id=16

"a. Bubble-blowing may play a role in digestion:

i. Concentrating the fluid through evaporation:

ii. Aerating the fluid so that microbial fauna would be affected to the detriment of obligatory ;

iii. Heating up the fluid by exposure to sunshine.

b. Bubble-blowing is a symptom of a common fly illness.

c. Bubble blowing is a defensive move. Some insects use regurgitated food as a weapon. They try to spread the sticky, noxious liquid over the attacker.

d. Flies do blow bubbles to clean their mouthparts with this fluid, more or less to flush them, and after they are ready they ingest the fluid again.

e. Flies can use bubbling for cooling of overheated body ? thermoregulation."

Plant hoppers feed on plant juices and excrete honeydew, a sweet by-product of digestion.

Plant hoppers, ranging in size from 1 cm (0.4 inch) in cooler climates to about 5 cm in the tropics, are not considered serious economic pests. Some species are covered with either a mealy substance or waxy filaments. Members of this family are variously known as fulgorid, lightning leafhopper, and mealy flata.

Digestione sulla strada per Piediluco (Terni)

Araneus diadematus with partially digested prey.

Once a prey item has been subdued by the spiders venomous bite, digestion is initiated outside the body. The spider regurgitates digestive enzymes onto its prey which in turn starts to dissolve the body. When the prey is mostly liquefied, the spider uses its chelicerae to break down the tissue further before sucking up the nutritious soup. Feeding behaviour does differ between spider families. An example is the Thomisids, crab spiders which have none or maybe a few cheliceral teeth. In that case, they make a bite and the enzymes are regurgitated into the bite area and the insides of the prey are dissolved and sucked out, leaving a intact shell.

Tree scale is caused by the digestion of usually rotting wood by scores of different fungal species. As the fungi digest the wood these scales develop on the outer surface of the wood. The scales vary greatly in size color and shape and some can become quite beautiful with alternating layers of color.

The sarlacc's stomach is lined with vessels that attach themselves to a swallowed victim and maws for quick digestion or breaking apart large prey, whereof the maws close when exposed to bright lights.

The stomach also contains mind-altering neurotoxins which keep victims from struggling and escaping. The toxins induce hallucinations in prey which "suggest that the sarlacc somehow absorbs the intelligence of all its victims, who live on in disembodied torment".

A sarlacc can communicate with its victims through this stolen consciousness:

In one Star Wars short story, an unnamed Jedi woman explains that,

"sarlacci do interesting things with messenger RNA: over the course of millennia, they can attain a sort of group consciousness, built out of the remains of people they've digested."

George Lucas went to great extremes to remove aspects of sex and sexuality from the plot of the Star Wars films, however, Lucas created a "nightmarishly explicit image of threatening female sexuality" in the form of the sarlacc:

"The Jabba episode culminates in an explicit vagina dentata fantasy, as Luke and his pals have to walk a phallic gangplank into the pullulating maw—festooned with long, curved teeth—of the giant sarlacc in its 'nesting place'."

, "Lucas sent his trilogy’s most arresting character Boba Fett to a "death" so inglorious—falling headlong into the vagina dentata of Tatooine’s sarlacc—that its only payoff was a burp gag."

On the path to the Sarlacc, Boba was aware of the large reward for Skywalker's capture. Unfortunately, Jabba would not take it or even allow Fett to negotiate for it. They killed his rancor; they would have to pay the price. Fett was frustrated by this but could conceive of no plan to gain the reward. Luke staged his own rescue and Fett attempted to stop him along with several of Jabba's hapless guards.

While he fired at Luke, in his obsession with capturing the Jedi, he failed to notice Solo. Solo, still semi-blind from hibernation sickness, accidentally activated Fett's manual controls on his jet pack by waving a staff wildly behind him, rocketing the hunter against the sail barge and bouncing down to the sand, rolling right into the waiting maw of the Sarlacc.

Knowledge of this incident eventually made its way into Deal-slang in the shape of the expression "boba-ize", which meant to do something unintelligent which would jeopardize or potentially ruin a deal, implying that falling into the Sarlacc was considered the result of stupidity in the eyes of the speakers of Deal-slang.

But the Sarlacc could never hold Fett. Thanks to his iron will and Mandalorian armor, Fett was able to fight his way out of the beast's belly. After escaping, Fett was found by a group of Jawas who took him to be either a droid or cyborg, never bothering to scan him, and claimed him as their own under the impression he was an unintelligent being. They took him into their sandcrawler, fitted him with a restraining bolt, and went on their way.

Yay! Another thing I love about my Canon: widescreen mode.

This is what I look like the day after being sick with a 24-hour bug: friggin' relieved to finally get to leave the apartment -- not to mention keeping down food. Hurrah for digestion.

Moss survives constant wet and dry cycles as do lichens. Should they be exposed to direct sunlight for too long they may not survive. Under this dense canopy they could live for years. This is the first stage of decay and digestion that only accelerates when gravity takes the wood to the ground, covering it with leaf litter. Once in contact with the ferment of the soil and leaf litter, insects. microbes and fungi further reduce the material to even smaller particles as the wood is digested and returned to the soil as nutrients.

The Pied-billed Grebe is a species of the grebe family of water birds. Since the Atitlán grebe has become extinct, it is the sole extant member of the genus Podilymbus. The Pied-billed Grebe is small, stocky, and short-necked. It is 31–38 centimeters (12–15 in) in length, it has a wingspan of 45–62 cm (18–24 in) and weighs 253–568 grams (8.9–20.0 oz). It is usually brown or gray in color. It has a short, blunt chicken-like bill, which in summer is encircled by a broad black band (hence the name). It is the only grebe that does not show a white wing patch in flight. The sexes are monomorphic (meaning no sexual dimorphism). Pied-billed Grebes feed mainly on aquatic invertebrates, and also on small fish and amphibians (frogs, tadpoles). Pied-billed Grebes have been shown to eat their own feathers to aid in digestion (prevent injury from small bones). The pied-billed grebe is primarily found in ponds throughout the Americas. Other names of this grebe include American dabchick, dabchick, Carolina grebe, devil-diver, dive-dapper, dipper, hell-diver, pied-billed dabchick, pied-bill, thick-billed grebe, and water witch.

The Pied-billed Grebe is a common and widespread winter

resident in Florida but is uncommon and local as a breeder.

This diving bird breeds from Canada to southern Argentina and in the Greater and Lesser Antilles.

I found this one along Heron Hideout at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida.

However, they will be staying with me another week or so to grow a little. I believe they are actually about 6 weeks old. If they still had their mother, they should stay with her another 2 weeks or so, I think.

I did not even really put these babies up for adoption. I wanted them to grow a bit and I really would have preferred to get the female fixed before adopting her out. However, the vets recommended this family to me as a good home that recently had their elderly cat die. They came to view the older kittens, but the little girls fell in love with these babies, of course.

I told them the kittens have to stay for another week. Though litter trained, they are barely litter trained. Also, their digestion is not stable. Since I switched them from dog food to proper cat/kitten food their bowel movements are not a pretty sight. Hopefully I can get all that sorted out in the next few days.
