Welcome to a night in the office from hell.

It’s 1983 and in an abandoned workplace in the Midlands, two solitary clerical workers sit down at their desks to begin a routine night shift. But as the evening creeps into the night, a confidential file is accidentally opened and a quietly horrifying secret is unleashed. A secret that’ll soon turn their lives of rotas, packed lunches and fag breaks violently upside down and the workers, against each other.

A fantasy thriller with a pounding 1980s soundtrack, Stoke-on-Trent’s Potboiler Theatre invite you to a world of ruthless ambition, desperate escapism and deeply held desires: a world of Devotion.

Devotion was supported with funding from National Lottery through Arts Council England and Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council. With thanks also to New Vic Theatre, Mitchell Arts Centre and Moonbrushed Media.

There are fervent Buddhist here at Long Shan Temple, but also tourists. I love the contrast between the curved old woman praying and the girl in hot pants and boots taking a picture at the back.

A visitare il tempio di Long Shan sono sia Buddisti in preghiera che turisti. Qui mi e' piaciuto il contrasto tra le figure in primo piano e la ragazza in calzoncini corti e stivali in secondo piano che sta facendo una foto.

Pilgrim kissing the threshold • Lalibela, Ethiopia

Lalibela, located in northern Ethiopia, is one of the holiest cities in the country and was Ethiopia's capital from the late 12th into the 13th century, ruled by Emperor Lalibela. Known for its 13 monolithic rock hewn churches that were most likely built during his reign, many have biblical name references and are assumed to be a representation of the old Jerusalem.

As part of the church complex a new museum has opened and includes are large collection of sacred objects like vestments, crosses, bells and musical instruments as well as religious manuscripts. They were formerly used or stored in the various churches, and the establishment of the museum will help to preserve an important part of Lalibela's and Ethiopia's cultural heritage.

This is a Loomi watch, which means that if you press that top button, the face lights up.

This watch reminds me of the Introspective album by Pet Shop Boys. I KNOW it's a television test pattern, but it reminds me of Introspective more.

WOW - WWW.WHITOFWIT.IT

are we alone?

Over the last thousands of years, humans have constantly sought out protection and support for day-to-day activities in the person of a metaphysical being superior to themselves. Not knowing how to communicate with him, humans have created several rituals of devotion which vary according to the country or region they belong to.

In India, as well as in other ancient civilizations, it is believed that when total moral decay takes place and the truth falls apart in the world, this higher being will return to earth to re-establish his value system.

Is it possible that we have already attained this state of complete ruin?

Is it possible that the peace and happiness which we seek come from the devotion to a higher being or, rather, from the discovery of a new consciousness?

Are we alone, or on the twilight of an inner encounter?
