An Easter procession on the Sunday before Good Friday.

Two days past Christmas of 2009 and this elderly gentleman is shoveling off a loved ones grave site.

At the local Gurudwara (Sikh temple) last Sunday.I really liked the feel of this picture but I found the head cover of the child a bit too distracting. Also, I could not back up any further as I was against the wall. Not a great shot but it was a nice moment so I thought I would keep it. As usual, comments are most welcome...

“I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen”

I had a couple of ideas for "Devotion", but I did not have time today. I ended up recycling a picture I took of a friend of mine and his girlfriend...

Together, at one with each other. I was very much under the influence of Piccaso when I painted this. Primitive imagery combined with a strong need to evoke my feelings towards those close to me. The figures could represent mother and child or they could be partners. It's that ambiguity that I find appealing.

Forgotten Times - on Agfa 100

Welcome to a night in the office from hell.

It’s 1983 and in an abandoned workplace in the Midlands, two solitary clerical workers sit down at their desks to begin a routine night shift. But as the evening creeps into the night, a confidential file is accidentally opened and a quietly horrifying secret is unleashed. A secret that’ll soon turn their lives of rotas, packed lunches and fag breaks violently upside down and the workers, against each other.

A fantasy thriller with a pounding 1980s soundtrack, Stoke-on-Trent’s Potboiler Theatre invite you to a world of ruthless ambition, desperate escapism and deeply held desires: a world of Devotion.

Devotion was supported with funding from National Lottery through Arts Council England and Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council. With thanks also to New Vic Theatre, Mitchell Arts Centre and Moonbrushed Media.
