Chhatris are an integral part of Rajasthan’s architecture. In many parts of the state, you may come across a cluster of Chhatris in an uninhabited location outside the town. There are usually Cenotaphs, built in memory of the kings. Here is one such cluster of Chhatris outside Bikaner town, called Devi kund sagar.
One of my favourite things of this Doill is that she's the most fun to play with. It's very articulate and poses very well <3

....Devi sapere ancor sorridere
Quando il bel tempo se ne và
E resta solo la tristezza
E giorni di infelicità
Devi sapere, che in questa angoscia
La dignità devi salvar
Malgrado il male che ti senti
Devi partir senza tornar
Preghi il destino, che ti disarma
Per pietà, non mi far morir
Devi sapere, celare il pianto
Ma il mondo è nato per soffrir
Devi sapere, lasciar la tavola
Quando all'amor non servi più
Alzarti con indifferenza
Mentre in silenzio soffri tu
Meenakshi Devi at Om Shakthi Temple, Kammanahalli, Bengaluru.
Meenakshi is a Hindu goddess and is considered an avatar of the goddess Parvati. She is the divine consort of Sundareśvarar, a form of Shiva. The goddess is also extolled by Adi Shankara as Shri Vidya.
Her hair is a special thermal saran which changes with heat. The easiest way to do this indoors is to use a blowdryer on her hair. In CA during the summer, I can just leave her out in the sun for about 30 seconds and her hair is immediately yellow. As soon as it is room temperature again, the hair turns back to orange.
This shrine of Mansa Devi watches over the town of Haridwar, Ottaranchal, India. As per the legend, Haridwar is the place where Mansa Devi rested after killing demon Mahishasur.
Haridwar at the bank of Ganga is ideal place to rest for Gods and humans both. One can spend hours looking over the cool flow of Ganga and the hustle of devotees around.

India's second-highest peak and the 23rd highest mountain in the world, its one of the most difficult peaks to climb and has been out of bounds for more than two decades. Folklore is that a nuclear observation device rests half way to the top of the peak, left behind by the CIA and Indian Army, sometime in the mid-70s. It was planned for use to observe Chinese troop movements but after placing it, the CIA soon lost signal. A blizzard and avalanche buried the device under many feet of snow!
Nanda Devi is one of the most beautiful peaks in the Himalayas, with a distinct twin-hump, the east peak (Nanda Devi East) is behind the main peak in this image, easily viewed in profile from Binsar and other parts of the Kumaon Himalayas. The "Devi" is worshipped as the local Goddess that protects all living creatures in this part of the world.
Like water which can clearly mirror the sky and the trees only so long as its surface is undisturbed, the mind can only reflect the true image of the Self when it is tranquil and wholly relaxed.

Quite a quick build, I wanted to create a Doll using muppets. Originally were going to be way bigger (using Mr. Moonlight head design), but after start desining her, those would have been way too big, so I changed them for regular minifigs.

Nanda Devi, 7,816 m (25,643 ft), second highest mountain in India as seen from a few kms ahead of Nainital towards Pangot, Kumaon Himalayas!
Devi is not a divine soul which is worshiped by human being ..It is the existence of creative power within ourselves .

The Nanda Devi massif resplendent under the looming dark clouds on a chilly December afternoon.
Fun fact: Before the discovery of Everest and other Eight Thousanders by the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India, Nanda Devi was considered to be the tallest mountain peak on planet Earth.
A picture of my cousin Devi and her mom, shot in 1991. Today is Devi’s 18th birthday.
