I love this little neighborhood, it's probably my favorite part of Indy. I spent a lot of time down here when the madre worked at the community arts building, and now we only live 10 minutes away. and the amazeballs yarn shop is just down the street from here.

Dung-loving Bird's-nest mushrooms (most likely Cyathus stercoreus) - Merritt Island, Florida
Captured with Canon's 180 mm macro lens and a complete 68 mm set of Kenco X-tubes (12+20+36 = 68), 'cause these guys are tiny!
FYI - Both images are manual stacks where I focused on all the important parts/information, and then cloned over the OOF areas in the first capture with in-focus areas of the other captures. I like this technique because it gives me complete control over what's in and what's out of focus. And in this case I decided to leave the wood untouched (i.e. OOF) while "focusing in" on the mushrooms.

And of course especially here!
Candidate ‘green’ satellite propellants within a temperature-controlled incubator, undergoing heating as a way to simulate the speeding up of time.
Today hydrazine is the most common propellant employed by thrusters aboard satellites: it is highly energetic in nature but also toxic and corrosive, as well as dangerous to handle and store. ESA initiated a study with European Astrotech Ltd in the UK to look into greener propellants and propulsion systems, to provide comparable performance with reduced toxicity and handling costs.
The testing investigated the compatibility between a variety of current and future materials and weld combinations with two propellant candidates in detail while checking others as well. By using materials already present in propulsion systems, the aim is to help to reduce any necessary modifications needed, shrinking costs and development times.
An eight-month test cycle became the equivalent of 5.33 years on-orbit by elevating temperature, hunting out for any degradation in the welds, materials and propellants – such as broken welds, material mass loss or etching.
Two green propellants called LMP-103S – flight-tested on Sweden’s Prisma formation flying mission – and HTP – high-test peroxide, previously used in past UK rockets – were shown to have compatibility with up to ten welded materials (while HTP was incompatible with titanium).
The project was supported through ESA’s Technology Development Element, investigating promising innovations for space.
It comes in response to the European Commission’s Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical Substances (REACH) regulation, that seeks to limit industry’s use of chemical substances that may be hazardous to human health or the environment.

The rainy day continues with Arista Ultra 100 in the M4/90mm Elmar. Fading light was the challenge as well as a mental block along the way. Thematically just trying to notice some details, but botched some things based on my too warm semi-stand development with Rodinal. But a exercise in patience and effort nonetheless.
The same lessons that led to the development of the M-72AB Zastava Zmey were applied to some of the JNA's other armored vehicles. That is to say, the omnipresence of incredibly mature anti-tank munitions and countermeasures left many of Yugoslavia's vehicles exposed to lethal threats during the Second Eastern European War. Indeed, despite what many contemporaneous public reports stated, this rebuke of Yugoslavia's armored forces was felt most heavily among those that rode and served in the M-81A Ipabogs. Rather than being designed for sustained confined warfare, the Ipabog was meant to ambush and overwhelm. This discrepancy in modus operandi would come to haunt the JNA during the war's peak.
To rectify these concerns, the Ministry of Defense once again turned to Zastava Arms (hence the new designation) to create a suite of applique for the M-81 series. Many of the improvements and additions are simply commonsense items: explosive reactive armor, a dozer blade, hardened underbelly, slat armor, and an active protection system. Although many of these add-ons obviously improve the overall protection of the vehicle writ large, particular emphasis was paid to the troop bay in the rear--if the dismounts can arrive in good health, then they can offer 360-degree protection for their respective vehicles. Whether or not this idea translates to reality has yet to be seen. Indeed, it appears that NATO is doing its utmost to see that Belgrade never has a chance to use its new toys. Still, that hasn't stopped the Balkan nation from stirring up trouble in the past, so the future might be bathed in red as well.

Jewel Changi Airport (Jewel) is a mixed-use development at Changi Airport in Singapore , the world's best airport and destination in itself.
From the recent shots taken of buildings being pulled down, this is the view from the other side of the road. The landscape is very different....its in the process of being shaped and honed into a new modern suburb.
Drip development with lith developer. Method described here... remorseblog.blogspot.com/2023/03/drip-development.html
Starting to develop some patterns. Not sure what to do with them yet. Would love to hear your feedback.
See my blog for more patterns.
This is a massive development in Saanich, which is home to the Home Depot. This is the old Mall entrance. It use to house a CIBC bank, a restaurant called JJ Morgans, a Save on Foods grocery store, a 4 screen movie theater and The Home Depot.
This water tower at Gernrode, Harz, has seen better times, but could present a great development opportunity for an enterprising builder.
The former Gold Leaf Studio near 5th and I Streets in the Mount Vernon Triangle is now the subject of debate regarding the site's future development. While the building itself isn't terribly special, it would be more interesting to include it into whatever condo block the developers have in mind for the site.

I Seriously, wasn't going to go out this night... Had a weeks worth of hell, and I really just wanted to do was get off work and go home. I was tired, I was cranky, it was the first weekend I've had off in a Month...
As soon as I pulled into the driveway @home, I could hear the weather radio going off and my storm capturing sensation came over me. Listening to the bullitins coming over the radio and I Freaked!. The storms were closer than I had thought. NWS just put warnings for Northern Buffalo County for super fast development of strong to potentially super severe, with large hail, and possible Tornadoes.
Photography Chance of a lifetime... Even though someone could cast me as a member of the Walking Dead....I was a trooper and I didn't wimp out! Luckily I had the my camera on the charger... Grabbed all my equipment & I hauled A** North... 20 mins later I found myself in the perfect spot, under the perfect conditions!
Cresting over northern Buffalo County, ready to cross between Pleasanton & Ravenna Nebraska, this cell was rapidly building and already had tornado warning on it. Incredible CG lightning in front of the storm cell was just to good to capture, with lighting firing off every few seconds.
