Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
Castle an Dinas is a late Bronze Age hill fort in northern Cornwall. Some of its ditches and walls (three concentric rings in all) are still visible. The photos were taken on the day the Storm Dudley hit the British Isles. The force of the wind was strong enough to push me around and focussing was not easy. With a bit of determination, however, a lot can be achieved. Now, and then, in the Bronze Age. Helios 44M-7 at approx. F8.
today we generally consider all the african rhinos as "big five".
but when the english hunters made the list they thought the most dangerous animals to hunt on foot.
the bigger and most powerful white rhino wasnt in the original list.
this is because he is less aggressive as except humans an adult white rhino has no enemies.they are used also to live in groups ,totally out of range for a lion pride.
but the black rhino (diceros bicornis) is a solitary animal and much smaller (average weight 900/1500kgs Vs white rhino 1600/3000kgs) so in exceptional cases it can be attacked from very hungry and desperate lions.
but nature has compensated blackie with great determination and aggressiveness.
this is why it is notorius for deadly attacks on humans and why was really feared by hunters.
they are also famous for many charges to the vehicles.
here the rhino is tracking us and you can see the ears pointing on our car...this is a first stage that can prelude a second one,the beat of the hooves to the ground.
in this second case you have to run away!! if not too late:-)
today black rhinos are facing the extinction because of poaching but as long as they treads the soil of Africa we must have great respect,Blackie is a real big five!

A hilltop in the middle of a large city in the early evening. To the left, near one of the trees, if you squint you can see the image of a statue. Pioneer Mother is “A memorial to mothers who made the arduous trip west to seek better lives for their families, the 13-foot bronze statue depicts a woman perched sidesaddle on a mount, holding an infant, her expression reflecting grim determination and exhaustion. She is flanked by two men with rifles and a weary pack horse.” Can you guess where this statue is located? Maybe somewhere near a famous trail leading settlers to the west?

Wishing you a great week ahead!
Is it just me or does anyone else also think that big raptors always sport a look of utter determination? :o)

A rare sighting in our area, this zone-tailed hawk continues to receive a lot of attention! Morro Bay, CA
These riders were running first and second when this image was snapped during a race at this year's Intelligencia Cup bicycle races in Mundelein, Illinois. I don't know how the fellow in second place here finished, but the gentleman in first place in this shot was the eventual winner of the race.

Have willingness, determination, focus and its goal will be realized successfully. 👌

An intimate landscape and a tiny tree growing out of the rock. This and the amazing lime color against a dark background, told an interesting story of beauty and determination.
In March of 1972, the North Vietnamese kicked off its largest and most destructive offensive. Dubbed the “Easter Offensive,” it began with attacks across the DMZ. For the south, men like Le Ba Binh resisted the attacks with élan, valor, and gritty determination.
Binh’s battalion held the ground defending the only major bridge across the Cua Viet River near Dong Ha. The bridge was strategic in that it was the only one that would allow tanks to cross. Binh and his men held their ground in spite of overwhelming odds. His training and leadership is what kept the unit together as his men fought for their lives.

Ripley playing ball yesterday afternoon - this has to be one of the craziest action shots I've captured of her to date. The combination of the liftoff and her expression makes me smile every time I look at it. I love her spirit and determination!
Thanks for all your comments and faves, much apppreciated.
While photographing this heron, it was amazing the determination and patience it displayed while searching for fish.
Herons have very keen eyesight and can remain extremely still before quickly plunging its pointy beak into the water to capture its prey.

Cattle die, kinsmen die, YOU will die! But the GLORY of your deeds will NEVER die! Crush your enemies beneath your feet! Tear them from the earth with NO MERCY! Leave NOTHING standing! Their bones will be dust, their screams forgotten, but YOUR NAME will THUNDER in Valhalla for ETERNITY!

A mature tree growing through this hole in the rock. I can't imagine how many times it has suffered drought and flooding in this little crack. Amazing
Determination - Osprey retrieving a small piece of eucalyptus bark that was dropped in the water en route to the nest. I really like this wing pose as it shows the beautiful and intricate barring along the primary and secondary feathers in the inner wing. The windy storms this past week really affected the vegetation and water levels this week. The area I captured this image has now become inundated.
