I was watching this male Downy woodpecker during a snow squall. It was determined to keep hanging onto a lilac branch, waiting to fly up to the suet feeder underneath my porch awning.
Thanks everyone for your views, awards, comments, invites and faves.
This downy woodpecker was waiting to fly up to the suet feeder during a snow squall one winter. It was grasping a lilac branch outside one of my windows. This was taken in Northeastern PA.

It's not the SIZE of the dog in the fight, but the size of the FIGHT in the dog
I rise and fall, yet through it all
This much remains
I want one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams are a heartbeat away
And the answers are all up to me

I really do believe that most anything can be sorted out with a little determination... and a lot of coffee.
The western Front in Flanders, one of the most terrible battlefields of the First World War, which raged more than a hundred years ago. Untill today the real reason for this horror is unknown.
In this trenchwar an entire generation was wiped out from all camps.
There was hardly any means of communication because the telephone lines were destroyed with every artillery attack. This was so bad that in the course of the war they had to make do with carrier pigeons and dogs that scattered the orders from the armies.
The newest and most devastating weapons were deplayed such as the machine gun, flamethrowers, airplanes and super cannons with shells weighing 7,1 tons that had a range of 38 kilometers!!
Due to the very inaccurate determination of the targets, the enitire battlefields were plowed by the heavy shells so streams and the water table changed while the battlefields became a large mud pool.
The men fought like lions, but were led by donkeys such as the Frenchman Ferdinand Foch, the German Rupprecht von Bayern and the Englisman Douglas Haig and other consorts, best described as butchers!
The life of the men was hell because of the constant threat of death and the exposure to heavy bombardements from the heavy artillery....
Hi There!
This chap was determined to get a place on the suet feeder which was filled with several other Yellow-rumped (Myrtle) Warblers. This was taken at my friend's house. She tells me that she can barely keep the suet feeder filled. I'll be heading back with the camera today or tomorrow to see what excitement is forthcoming!

The little man flies...
Skippy envisioned his universe with the help of Bad Unicorn's cool new Basketball Gym! You can pick it up at this month's The Men's Dept (TMD).
Never give up on your dreams, my friends. Keep shining so bright!
These towers stand 250 to 300 feet above the desert floor. They are incredible all on their own. Even more so with a star filled sky.
Art lifts our spirits and reaches our soul. Artists define the character of our communities. Social distancing may keep us away from one another this holiday season, but we can still stay close. Shop art and consider a handcrafted, personal gift for your loved ones this #ArtistsSunday Nov 29, the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
Watching this bee jump from flower to flower it was determined to find just what exactly suited its taste. When the seasons pass so quickly this is one small thing that I will miss. “Determination” drives this bee to exactly what it wants, as will my determination keep me patient to repeat this very photo-op next Summer. Thanks for viewing my work. Be grateful and kind.

Skippy envisioned his universe with help from the following amazing creations:
Soy's Mini Shop in Gas Station, Fuel Tank, Old Gas Pumps and Stand, Cacti, Dessert Weeds, and Barbed Wire Fence, which are all part of the My Long Way Collection!
Soy's Gateway to Waterline Forts Bridge and Gate, and Old Tank House!
In addition, the little warrior wears items created by the talented designers at Remarkable Oblivion, PFC, Contraption, and The Forge!
Keep blazing trails, my friends!

The little man is determined to hit a home run...
It's that amazing time of year again when one of my favorite events returns to our universe. Yes, I'm talking about 6º REPUBLIC!
Filled with incredible decor and inspiring delights, take a journey to other parts and discover something exciting and new!
Skippy was inspired to create his universe with the help of taikou's new Batting Center Collection, which is, of course, available at 6º REPUBLIC!
Skippy included the following:
taikou's batting center building complex, baseball bat, baseballs, pitching machines, batting center neon light, batting cage nets, catcher wall, payment machine, baseball bat rack, baseball bench, money changer machine, instruction poster, beverage fridge, and baseball posters!
Let's play ball!
Busy as a Bee for sure. It may just start with determination to work hard for yourself and others who may also depend upon you. Having pride in what we do and how we perform our duties can be a reflection on how we see ourselves and how we learned some of life’s more important lessons. Always doing our best in whatever it is we do is like putting our personal signature on our accomplishments. Do your best, stand tall and be proud. Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe and stay determined.
This day started beautiful but turned quickly as things can do in the desert. I had the drone up circling the towers and felt a small smack on my forehead. No it wasn't Bea, it was hail. I quickly got the drone in luckily had this shot already taken. We went back with our tails between our legs. Thanks for looking at my ridiculous attempts at professional photos!! Kris..
This cowboy is determined to stay on this bucking bronco for the required 8 seconds to qualify for prize money and a belt buckle. Unfortunately, he did not make it. Taken at the Russian River Rodeo

ENG: Today it is 10 years since Molly arrived on our terrace, dirty, thin and sickly but already very sweet, tried by a winter spent looking after the puppies that shortly after reached her. He decided we were the right people and adopted us. She guarded the door for more than two months, thwarted the three attempts to bring her, after having treated her, to her farmhouse 1 and a half km from us and finally, pregnant again, she won. I thank Molly for her determination. Animals know things that we don't understand right away, Molly knew it would be wonderful for both of us to become friends.

I saw this little snail on my garden table heading in its own pace straight to the potted sunflower, not even hesitating when I came pretty close with my camera. That is determination!
I then moved the snail to another safe, green area.
