This rose has destined persevered felt 2 months. The first frost this year has finished this Marathon. Too bad.
Schade eigentlich.
I like the idea that you can make something destined for the bin (in this case a little piece of spring onion peel) and make it into something more!
HMM! It's A-Peeling To Me
Norman always knew that Noreen was destined to be a star on the silver screen....and she had always been his special 'Second Life Screen Goddess'.

We're not a couple - even though we sometimes take 'couple photos' together. We are just SL friends, having fun in Second Life.
We'd love you to follow us and fave our pictures, and even leave a comment - and we will do the same back,,,
We are new to SL photography, so If you have an idea for a photo.....let us know.
Thanks,,, with love...Noreen and Norman xx
This week's theme is trash ( rubbish ) something destined for the bin. I have chosen the colourful wrappings of miniature chocolate Easter eggs.
Thanks for your views, faves and comments, very much appreciated.

Last image through the printer destined to Green River, Utah for my exhibition FOOTPRINTS OF WATER at the John Wesley Powell River History Museum. The show will be up starting January 10, 2022 and run through June 10, 2022. I will be displaying selections of poetry to be read and/or listened to via a QR code. Prints, posters, greeting cards, and other items will be available in the gift shop. An in-person opening may be held at a later date depending on the pandemic situation and/or I may put together a virtual tour.
All-Rail loads destined to the Edgar Thomson Works near Pittsburgh. The pellets were made at Minntac - both of these installations were operated by U S Steel.
I have photographed this shoreline a thousand times before and, with luck, will photograph it a thousand times more!

at the campsite thinking about everything we said ....
***mensaje a las estrellas destinado para ti***
bonitos y profundos reales sentimientos ...
***message to the stars destined for you***
beautiful and deep real feelings ...
It can hurt just like a dagger ...
when we know we can't make them real ...
But it was still worth taking a risk and feeling and having met a person like you ... when I was not looking for anything or expecting anything except a beautiful friendship, but it has been nicer than that even if we suffer ... I do not regret anything with you ...
I know that what we felt during all this time was real and what we still feel ... and that we will never forget it ... and that I will never forget you .. 💋🌺

South Queensferry was once the main point to board ferries over to Fife and is still a port today, although the boats are now destined for the islands of the Forth.
The prefix South serves to distinguish it from North Queensferry, on the opposite shore of the Forth. Both towns derive their name from the ferry service established by Queen Margaret in the 11th century, which continued to operate at the town until 1964, when the Road Bridge was opened.
Take a boat tour to travel under the Forth Bridge and explore the wildlife and history of the islands. You can even land on Inchcolm, which is home to both a 12th century abbey and the fascinating remnants of Second World War defences.
Dalmeny House and Hopetoun House are two fine stately homes located on the outskirts of South Queensferry, and both are excellent attractions which boast lovely grounds, impressive architecture and historic artefacts.
The town is also a great place to start a coastal walk by joining the John Muir Way and following it through Dalmeny Estate and towards Cramond village.

Asmaradana comes from the words Asmara and Dhana. Asmara is the name of the god of love. Dhana comes from the word Dahana which means fire. The name Asmaradana is related to the scorching of the cupid by the highlight of the third eye of Lord Shiva as mentioned in kakawin Smaradhana by Mpu Darmaja. In Purwaukara Fiber, Smarandana is given the meaning of remen ing paweweh, meaning giving.
Buffalo and Pittsburgh empties destined for loading on the former MGA's PawPaw Branch pass by the Rivesville, WV power station. The plant was built by the Monongahela Power and Railway Company in 1919, and operated until it's closure in 2012 citing environmental reasonings. So these days it just makes for a killer backdrop to take pictures with.
It would be cool to see the plant saved instead of demolished and turned into a museum... but i doubt we could get that lucky for preservation sake. Some of the patch town homes can be seen in the background next to the plant. I have tons more photos to share, so be on the lookout for near daily uploads in the near future!
This has become my 'go to' place for at least one photo for many years now on each visit to Portugal. See the first comment box for a few others taken in previous years. A quick overview of the new photos tells me I will post at least one more from this year of this magical place.
- Magoito, Portugal -
This photo was destined for the recycle bin. It was very late when I took it and becoming dark. But I thought I would try B&W before it was deleted. I'm surprised it actually turned out so he might get to see another day.
Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.
An empty ore train destined for the Hibbing Taconite pellet plant crossing the St Louis River. During the early 1990s Hibbing Taconite, or Hibtac for short, loaded two 160-car "dock trains" every 24-hours. The trains were dumped at the BN docks at Allouez, near Superior, Wis., where the pellets were transloaded into Great Lakes ore boats.
If anyone cares, I wrote an article covering the BN's Mesabi Range ore operations for CTC Board that ran in the January 1995 issue. I briefly dispatched these lines when I worked for the BN at the Northtown DS office at Minneapolis.

Producing “green” hydrogen from seawater, we are getting closer!
Hydrogen would be one of the major tools to decarbonize heavy industries, freight transport or aviation, to name a few.
However, this fuel is not yet completely environmentally friendly, as most of its production is done by breaking down methane and burning fossil fuels.
Green hydrogen has its merits, but its cost is high and it comes with its own challenges and flaws.
A water molecule is made up of one oxygen molecule and two hydrogen molecules.
It is possible to recover the latter by electrolysis, with low greenhouse gas emissions, at least when the production chain is powered by renewable energies.
However, this process needs fresh water to work properly. With 10 liters of water needed to produce one kilogram of hydrogen, this means that the (many) sources of drinking water would quickly become saturated if this fuel were used on a large scale.
According to the International Renewable Energy Agency, running trucks and major industries on green hydrogen could require the equivalent of the water consumption of a country like France!!!
But the Earth deserves its nickname of blue planet, since there is water on a large part of its surface. However, 97% of it is made up of seawater, and it does not mix well with electrolyzers.
On contact with it, they convert its chloride ions into gaseous chlorine, bad for the environment and corrosive enough to break them down after a few hours alone...
However, hydrogen continues to receive special attention and investment and seems destined to be an integral part of our future.
If the method is not yet stopped, ideas are flowing, and that's the most important thing 🤔
The small farms in and around Boulder County are disappearing as more people move here. I'm sure this property is destined for developement.
Freshly repainted BNSF 625 sits at the North Yard along Commercial Street in Springfield, MO. This former Santa Fe Warbonnet is now wearing BNSF's corporate scheme and is equipped with RCO equipment for remote control operations within the yards. This unit is destined for Northtown, MN after it finishes up here.
One of four Giraffes seen on the previous day's drive. As with all photographic excursions, many shots are taken and few are seen. This shot was destined for my archive drive, but I think it's worth a second chance.
Coal destined for the boilers of the Southwest Public Service Company at Amarillo, Texas. The train is snaking along the Twin Mountain Sub near Beshoar. This was once CB&Q subsidiary Colorado & Southern Railway main line south out of Denver. Third out in the consist is EMD 3, an SD60 demonstrator.

Going back 12 years ago, CP tested these RailMate trailers from Superior to the Twin Cities. On this first test run of April 23, 2008, they called a special train to bring the bogies from Superior to Minneapolis. If I remember correctly, these RoadRailer like trailers were loaded with aggregate off the Iron Range, destined for the western suburbs of Minneapolis. I believe this was the only special RailMate train CP ran and subsequent runs of these things were on the regular 482. The RailMates didn't last long and ended up stored along the TC&W at Hopkins for much longer than they ran.
Here is CP 8802 West on the test train, just west of Saunders, WI on April 23, 2008, running as CP 482. I took this shot from the former Soo grade that all Soo Line trains used to take out of Superior. Just ahead this test train will diverge onto BNSF's Hinckley Sub. and run as a southbound to the Twin Cities.
I loved you once, I loved you twice
I loved you in my previous lives
I know your voice, I know your eyes
You haunt me through my dreams at night
Oh, my love, we'll meet again
We always do, in the end
Our two souls destined to be
You and I 'til eternity
We live on and on and on
Death is weak and we are strong
On and on and on
Time is weak and we are strong
Whoa, whoa, whoa
One of only a handful of Bay Line painted locomotives, GP40-2 3018, leads the Hilton Turn eastbound at Jimbo Road outside of Dothan, AL.
I haven't been back to the Bay Line and surrounding operations since late 2021, so I am unsure what traffic looks like today especially since the paper mill in Panama City, FL closed. The paper mill was the Bay Line's primary customer and I am sure a majority of the traffic on this train was likely from the mill. The turn is destined for Hilton, GA where the Hilton and Albany will take this traffic to Albany, GA for NS to bring to Macon.
if melody
is my destiny
than what's left of me,
I'll give to you..
and if next to me,
is all that you need to be
would you settle for fantasy,
if it's the best you could do?
