Actually it won't be the destination. This will be about midway on the walk from Craster to the Grey's Inn in Embleton, but we might as well go this way as it is quite scenic and the walk and sea air gives you a great thirst.
The Maldives are a known destination for Honeymooners from all over the world. Here you can see the lonely photographer's spouse on the beach, while her husband is behind the camera, trying to capture yet another beautiful Maldivian sunset. Carrying photo equipment, together with the 2kg tripod, half across the globe was worth it, the sunsets I was able to capture there were really beautiful.
Taken in Bradgate Park, Leicestershire - Old John is a well known local landmark, a folly high on the hills. I was looking for a "story within an image" and this idea of a journey with a person, a path, and an obvious destination - this scene pretty much fits the bill.
“All of life is a journey which paths we take, what we look back on, and what we look forward to is up to us. We determine our destination, what kind of road we will take to get there, and how happy we are when we get there.”

Rarely is a hotel a destination in its own right. Rarely do I post a picture of a hotel where I stayed. The Suryagarh is different. The hotel was build recently, but obviously with attention to the historical buildings that came before it in this remote corner of the world.
The hotel's website states that they have carefully preserved the traditions of the past and revealed a few of the secrets of a land shrouded myth and legends. The nearby Golden City is somewhat duplicated in the facade of this building. Lattice work adorns the walls and balconies. Breakfast is served in a large courtyard where peacocks roam. At night, wandering musicians appear when you least expect being treated to the songs of the desert..
The town where Kafkaesque dystopia meets Orwellian dystopia.
"Orwellian" describes a society characterized by authoritarian control, surveillance, and manipulation of information, while "Kafkaesque" refers to a situation or experience that is nightmarishly complex, bizarre, and illogical, often involving bureaucratic absurdity.
