This barely there scrap of fluffy goodness should probably never
leave the bedroom, but with restart Tuesday interrupting my
studio time I wore Emma as I traipsed all over the grid. No one
seemed to mind ;p

Watching the world through our screens (those of us fortunate
enough to be in no danger), it is often difficult to make sense of
much of what we see.
But the suffering of those caught in the middle of violent conflicts
is an all too frequent sight. I can't imagine the depth of loss and
despair being experienced.
I recently participated in a medicine sans frontiers event (SOS)
in SL, and while there are many worthy causes demanding our attention, I hope anyone reading this might consider supporting their work in any way they can.

I think this is a fitting image for the times - hope for the future though things look bleak. Just keep driving on through the storm and break on through. That's all we can do.

An idea I've been manifesting for some time. This morning I had the opportunity to test it out. It was my intention to do much longer exposures of around 2 or 3 minutes to completely smooth out the sea, but best I could reasonably get away with was 30 seconds or so. This is the first of a series of shots I came away with. A 3 second exposure at f10 iso100.

I took many pictures of my daughter and granddaughter this day. This was a moment captured among the many happy ones. They are both naturally happy souls and for wonderful reasons.
A few times I wandered off the main tourist track in China and discovered some shocking truths that were hidden away. Like in most other other places of the world, one can find human misery, poverty and filth on the back streets.
