Their photo Title and description: Ancient survivor

They’ve managed to survive on the planet for millions of years, but today most species of sea turtles are endangered.

Definitely one of my favorite websites www.earth-touch.com/

I've downloaded most all of their HD Videos and everything that relates to the Big 5 Cats.

Great looking Video worth watching at your leisure.

My real desktop, for Coudal Partners' "View from here" event thingy.

This is my current Windows XP desktop. The background is my PRS CE-24 guitar, on top of another wallpaper. (The "T" is for Temporary...sort of a reminder)

I'm running ObjectDock Plus for the tool bar, Rainmeter and the 10-Foot HUD, plus a customized Weather skin, and a custom built Stock Market skin (both based on Grzegorz Gajdzinski's awesome weather and stock skins: members.lycos.co.uk/grzesiogg/index.php?option=com_conten.... I'm also running Trillian with the iChat-small skin, Thunderbird with the CuteBird theme, Firefox, iTunes, and host of goodies discovered on Lifehacker.

Used only for soccer while I was there.

My first install of Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 on a Macbook 1.1. The minimum desktop is built with Compiz, Avant and Conky. The icons are Magog White. The window border and controls are Azel Round Original. The background is a modified Apple Black v2 by STK Design.

The rings display CPU, memory and hard disk space. Much thanks to Conky Hardcore and londonali1010 for the great rings widget.

Aktueller Desktop vom 15. Juni 2005. In Vorfreude auf Batman Begins.

I decided to follow Ashwin in cleaning my my desktop. See flickr.com/photos/arucard/998046475/.

My old desktop at work. This was mainly a test to see if sending a picture from my 3g phone would show up on Flickr.

Upgraded from the 17" ViewSonic to a 26" LCD TV. So far it's running great as a monitor. Built in tuner makes it easy to switch back and forth.

Running it in Fedora Linux at 1280x768 @ 60 Hz.

Still have to figure out what to do with the high-end 2.1 speakers you see on the right. Have to hook them up to the desktop's output as well as the TV's so when I switch to the tuner it outputs the TV's audio. I've got cable splitters up the ass with this setup. Don't get me started on the 5 outputs I need from my audio card...

As for oversized LCDs, I've been using my 26" LCD TV as a monitor for almost 2 weeks now. I'm going to write something useful to circulate more broadly later, but for now, suffice it to say it's worth it. It runs at 1280x768, so it's shorter than I like at 1280x1024. It's a LOT easier on the eyes. Your head has to scan around more, but I've noticed that I never squint anymore trying to read a small icon or block of text in a title bar or something. Besides, it's mostly eye movement more than neck movement so your neck doesn't get sore. If anything, forcing your neck to rotate is probably better for you than keeping it more stationary with a smaller screen. For games it's just crazy. The only downside is the price as well as the slight high pitched hum you can sometimes hear. I think it's caused by the TV tuner so it doesn't come on when you're using the DVI input from the PC. I have to check on that.
